EDITOR'S LETTER LAUREN HUYNH Heyo what's up key clubbers? Long time no see! I feel like it's been a while since I've last seen y'all but I really hope everyone has been enjoying their summer break so far! Send me pictures if you go somewhere cool or do
something fun! I would love to see pics, you can even be featured in my next newsletter;) I've been so into taking lots of photos and videos lately because I realize how important it is to treasure fun and happy memories. Go and create those memories this summer! Create your own opportunities instead of waiting for the right moment, you can always start right now! I am currently in Hawaii enjoying the warm weather and snorkeling at the beautiful beaches. It's so nice to be so stress free and relaxed! Our dragon of the month is Brittney! We asked Brittney some questions about her key club experience and this was her response: What's your favorite memory from key club? My favorite memory from key club is when at DCON we would have spirit battles and show off who has more spirit. Why is key club important to you? Key club is important to me because its get me to do things I usually wouldn't do like volunteering or meeting a whole bunch of new people all at once. Why do you like key club? I like key club because it has a very fun environment and it had brought me closer to some people as well as helped me make new friendships.

Hawaii was such a fun experience and a relaxing vacation! I went to Oahu and this was my first time ever going to Hawaii. The beaches had such clean water and my family and I also went snorkeling. If you ever go to Hawaii, I recommend trying the dole whip and poke there. -Jessica Do
SSU UM MM MEER R SSPPO OTTLLIIG GH HTT I kicked off summer break with a couple friends. We went to the Newcastle golf course to watch the sunset! Next, I Visited my home state of Texas where I got to see my best friend and travel all around the state. We also got to tour Baylor University located in Waco Texas, go bears!
For the 4th of July, my friend and I went to Bellevue Park to watch fireworks. I then went to my teams annual cheer camp at great wolf lodge! With 12 hour practice days, we bonded and grew stronger as a team!!! -Jayla Perkins

Summer is the perfect time to volunteer! Keep on the lookout for more service events on the Facebook page or in secretary emails. Hope you guys are getting lots of hours, don't forget to turn them into Angel!

Summer is surely going by quickly and freshmen recruitment is around the corner. Contact your friends and get them excited to join key club! We will be having a freshmen key club summer bonding soon, details will be posted on facebook!
If you are volunteering this summer at any event, be sure to take pictures and or horizontal videos and send them to me! I would love to showcase your photos in the newsletter and possibly the DCON scrapbook!
