Greetings from the Editor Hello everyone! I hope you all have been having a great summer thus far and maybe even enjoyed some fireworks (unless you were trying to sleep)? I hope that just because it’s summer, your passion for serviced hasn’t died. Get out there, keep volunteering, and make your community a better place! Thanks to you guys, we haven’t had shortages at volunteering events this month, so keep it up! Before you know it, school will be starting up again so until then, stay toasty! In Love and Service, Kira Kusumi

Greetings from the President Long time no see,

I hope your summer has been great so far and it’s really nice to see you guys out there volunteering! I’m going to keep this message short and sweet so here it goes… Keep up the good work and be sure to send any pictures of volunteering to our B.E. , Kira, and if you are looking for events to volunteer for just let me or any of the officers know (speaking of which I have a couple more spots left for River Days and there is a link for The Color Run Tacoma as well as Dragon Fest!) Next week there is the annual Joint DCM at Henry Moses with Division 28 and I hope to see you guys there. Also, don’t forget about SEAttle Rally, which will be held on July 23rd at Bellevue High School (if you need rides, I would be happy to help you find one, or you can bus there because the metro is KEY-WL). We are also planning some summer meetings so we will update you with information as we go. So stay toasty, check facebook, utilize Pokemon Go to help you get that summer bod (or the chocolate bar abs, whichever) and always serve your home, school and community. Until next time, Ashley Vo

Recap from June DCM The June DCM was extra special because it was the Senior send-off and official incoming officers installation banquet! A bitter-sweet DCM to end the school year.

Recap on Spring Green & Clean Volunteering We cut down overgrown branches and piled them in a trailer. Then, we went around the park picking up trash. Hey, it’s fun when you make a game out of it!

Recap on Rock n Roll Marathon Volunteering Waking up early was worth it. It’s nice to when the runners are so thankful to the volunteers for coming out to just hand water to them!

Recap on Hazen Key Club Car Wash Thanks to you key-uties, as well as some very generous customers, we were able to raise $500! Special shout out to the volunteers from other schools that came out to help and support Hazen.

Recap on Coulon’s Fourth of July Volunteering More trash picking to keep our beautiful park beautiful and handing out surveys at the survey booth!
