EDITOR'S LETTER Hey guys! I hope finals and the last month of school was good to all of you! With the Service Projects Committee slowly forming, I hope you guys are ready for what they will be able to bring you for the summer! As this school year comes to a close, a new door opens. Let's enjoy the sunset to this year together and end it on a positive note! I'm excited to see you guys throughout the summer for service events and bondings! In love and service, Ben Bunyatipanon

PRESIDENT'S ADDRESS Happy summer, Key Clubbers! Can you believe that the school year has gone by so fast? Now that school is out, I hope that you all are taking advantage of your free time to relax, refresh, and most importantly, volunteer. Thankfully, we have many opportunities for you all to get involved this summer! Two major service events are the Renton Car Show and Renton River Days, which you can find more information about on my Facebook post. I highly encourage everyone to sign up for Renton River Days because you get to walk in the parade and raise money for our club by cleaning up the food tent right after! We also have our car wash on the 30th that will benefit our District Project, the Thirst Project. Lots of volunteers are needed for this and food will be provided! Let's reach our District goal of $75,000! Lastly, please consider applying for our Service Projects Committee. This is an amazing opportunity for you guys to get involved with our club as you will get a glimpse of what super secret business goes on behind the scenes, and you get to make an impact on the community! The application deadline of the 23rd is coming up fast, so be sure you are getting this done! Thank you all for an amazing school year! Remember to get tan, get a lot of sleep, and get your summer homework done early! Have a great break, y'all :--). In Love and Service, Kristin Hong

JAYDEN WONG

J

ayden Wong is an amazing example of a great Key Clubber. In the past months alone he has been to over 3 events and has demonstrated commitment to service and dragon spirit. Congratulations Jayden!

p. 5

Jayden's favorite Key Club event was the Hazen DCM becasue "it was close to home and it was more comfortable to reach out to meet new people that way."

Jayden's favorite color is Red, one of our divisional colors! Let's go Toasty! Jayden's favorite food is rice and anything that tastes good with rice, yum!

A NEW YEAR BRINGS NEW OFFICERS TO OUR CLUB

An important tradition in Hazen Key Club

"Whipping cream got hecka nasty in

is for the outgoing officers to pie the

everyone's hair last year so we're using

incoming officers at the last meeting of

shaving cream this year"

the year! In the last key club meeting of

-Trinity Yang

our 2017/2018 school year we celebrated with lots of food, friends, and

"Whip Cream is sticky and shaving

fun! As the sun sets for the outties a new

cream burns. There's no way out of it!"

sun rises for innies and we can't wait to

-Vy Nguyen

have an amazing year together in the upcoming schol year!

"I'm just tired" -Ricky Phung "Hello?" - Kristin Hong

Here's another Hazen officer Tradition! While this one is a bit more formal than throwing a pie at someone's face, it's just as important. In this ceremony the immediate past offiicers pass down their officer pins to the new incoming officers. In this pictures we can see Sheila pin me, Kevin pin Kristin, Tommy pin Vy, and Kristin pinning Trinity, and we can imagine Vy pinning Ricky! Did you know? The fear of pins and needles is called Trypanophobia! Can't be having that during this ceremony!
