Ξεκίνησε να ασχολείται με το stop motion σαν χόμπι, γρήγορα όμως παθιάστηκε και με τα χρόνια ασχολήθηκε επαγγελματικά, συμμετέχοντας σε πρότζεκτ με πολλές διαφορετικές τεχνικές ανιμέισον. Σήμερα εργάζεται κυρίως ως σκηνοθέτης, παραγωγός και animator στο COLA - Audiovisual Collective, ενώ στον ελεύθερο χρόνο του σκιτσάρει και δημοσιεύει κόμικς στο Comic Heart και το A Seita.

Born in Portimão, 1979, south Portugal, Bruno is a self-taught animator. He started playing with stop motion animation as a hobby and it quickly turned into a passion. As the years went by his professional career led him to participate in projects of various animation techniques, as well as in other areas of artistic interest. He works mostly as a director, producer and animator at COLA - Audiovisual Collective. In his spare time he publishes comics at Comic Heart and A Seita.

Η Ilze γεννήθηκε στη Λετονία (1971). Σπούδασε σκηνοθεσία στη Νορβηγία και εργάζεται ως σκηνοθέτις τηλεοπτικών σειρών και ντοκιμαντέρ από το 1995. Μαζί με τον σύζυγό της, σκηνοθέτη και παραγωγό Trond Jacobsen, ίδρυσαν την εταιρεία Bivrost film το 2000, η οποία εξειδικεύεται σε ταινίες κινουμένων σχεδίων και ντοκιμαντέρ για παιδιά καθώς και δημιουργικά ντοκιμαντέρ με κοινωνικό μήνυμα για ενήλικο κοινό. Η σειρά animation «My Body Belongs To Me» κέρδισε βραβείο Emmy και NRK Super το 2019, ενώ η τελευταία της ταινία, ένα ντοκιμαντέρ animation με τίτλο «My Favorite War» κέρδισε το βραβείο Contrechamp στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Ανιμέισον του Annecy το 2020.

Ilze was born in Latvia (1971) . After college she got the chance to study in Norway, where she became a film director. She has worked as a director of TV series and documentaries since 1995. Together with her husband, director and producer Trond Jacobsen, they founded the Bivrost Film company in 2000 and focus on animation and documentary films for children as long with creative documentaries with social impact for adults. The animated series “My Body Belongs To Me” won the Emmy award and the NRK Super in 2019. Her latest film, an animated documentary “My Favorite War” won the Contrechamp award at the Annecy Film Festival 2020.

dramafilmfestival.gr @dramafilmfestival Η καριέρα του Γιάννη μετρά τριάντα χρόνια στην κινηματογραφική παραγωγή. Έχει σκηνοθετήσει την ταινία «Πλατεία Αμερικής» (επίσης συνυπογράφει το σενάριο και υπογράφει το μοντάζ), η οποία ήταν η επίσημη πρόταση της Ελλάδας για Όσκαρ καλύτερης ξενόγλωσσης ταινίας το 2018 και από το 2020 είναι ο Καλλιτεχνικός Διευθυντής του Διεθνούς Φεστιβάλ Ταινιών Μικρού Μήκους Δράμας. Η «Πλατεία Αμερικής» έκανε πρεμιέρα στο Διεθνές Φεστιβάλ Κινηματογράφου του Busan (Νότια Κορέα) το 2016 και στη συνέχεια προβλήθηκε στο εμβληματικό Chicago Film Festival και το Palms Springs Film Festival. Η ταινία είχε διανομή σε Αμερική, Κίνα, Ισπανία, Ανατολική Ευρώπη (HBO), Αγγλία, Τουρκία, Ελλάδα και Κύπρο, ενώ βραβεύτηκε σε πολλά φεστιβάλ. Ο Γιάννης σπούδασε Φωτογραφία και Ιστορία Τέχνης στο London College of Printing και Σκηνοθεσία στο University of Westminster και έζησε στο Λονδίνο για 18 χρόνια. Εχει σκηνοθετήσει και επιμεληθεί ντοκιμαντέρ για το Channel 4 και το BBC, τρέιλερ για ταινίες της Warner Bros (όπως «Μεσάνυχτα στον κήπο του καλού και του κακού» του Κλιντ Ίστγουντ -1997, «Μάτια Ερμητικά Κλειστά» του Στάνλεϊ Κιούμπρικ - 1999 κλπ) και πειραματικές ταινίες μικρού μήκους. Η πρώτη μεγάλου μήκους ταινία ως σκηνοθέτης «Wild Duck» έκανε παγκόσμια πρεμιέρα στο φεστιβάλ του Τορόντο το 2013 και ταξίδεψε σε πολλά διεθνή φεστιβάλ.

Yannis’ career has spanned thirty years in film production. He is the director of “Amerika Square”, Greece’s official selection for Best Foreign Language Film Oscar nominations 2018 and has recently been appointed as the Creative Director of Drama International Short Film Festival. “Amerika Square” premiered at the 2016 Busan International Film Festival and went on to play the prestigious Chicago Film Festival and Palms Springs Film Festival. It was released in the USA, China, Spain, UK, HBO and was screened and awarded at a number of festivals. Yannis lived in London for 18 years where he has directed and edited, documentaries for Channel 4 and BBC, Cinema trailers for Warner Bros (such as Clint Eastwood´s “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil” – 1997, Stanley Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut” – 1999 etc) and experimental short films. His first feature film as a director “Wild Duck” was premiered at the Toronto Film Festival in 2013. The film went on to enjoy a successful festival run.
