FIVE EYES

REUBEN TIGHE

Despite members coming from technical backgrounds and prior groups, the defining characteristic of Five Eyes is discipline, of serving the song even if that requires holding back a bit. This is combined with a rhythmic sensibility that's less about wrong-footing the listener with math-rock flexing, and more about potent grooves and accessibility. the band have the same mastery of dynamics as their previous groups, but more discipline and control over the other elements the melodies, beats and sound design, leading to a more accessible whole.

X

THE LOCK IN STAGE - BEER GARDEN YUCK Yuck Magazine is an independent arts, culture and music publication, based in Manchester. Founded in 2018, from their humble beginnings in a Preston bedroom, they are now in to their sixth editorial edition, which has seen them work with the likes of Arlo Parks, Baxter Dury, Tim Burgess, Wolf Alice and many more artists from an eclectic mix of genres, right here in the U.K. and beyond.

LOCK IN DJs

GUMSHOE

BRAD STANK

SILVER BARS

The Lock In boys decided they will take to the stage and throw down some lovely House & Disco Vibes for you to boogie to!

Lose yourself in a haze of sound with Gumshoe. Hailing from the North West of England, Gumshoe was brought to life by solo-artist, songwriter and producer Phil Hampson.

Brad Stank wants you to talk less and love more. A sensei of the slow jams, this sexistentialist-pop bohemian writes jazz-leaning twilight ruminations that puncture the mythology of R&B.

Barrow locals The Silver Bars have spent the last year stamping their footprint on a national level.

EADES

(Also headlining the Pub/Acoustic stage once the guitars have been packed away).

Gumshoe has successfully combined noir and subtle '80s new-wave influences to create a unique neo-noir sonic landscape, though a deeper-rooted chorus of post-punk and dark desert tones are certainly not lost in the technicolour.

Juxtaposing Eastern philosophies against sexuality, the Stank alter-ego – a unification of modern hip hop attitude and old soul – allows Brad to tap into the flow of a deeper human mysticism.

Catching the eye from the likes of CLASH Magazine, BBC introducing and finding themselves booked to play ever bigger support slots and major festivals, they are sure to be one of the hot topics to check out at the festival.

Leeds based five-piece Eades released the exhilarating ‘Microcosmic Things’ EP and a clutch of singles off the bat, piquing the interest of Manchester indie, Heist or Hit (Her’s / Pizzagirl / Brad Stank), and earning themselves a signature to the label in the process. Since then, the band released their superb debut album ‘Delusion Spree’, earning the support of NME, DIY, DORK, Clash and BBC Radio 6 veteran, Steve Lamaq.

JON BYRNE

LITTLE STRANGE

HONEYGLAZE

CLUB MEEKON

BLURRED VS TWANG

Presenting in Technicolour, Little Strange, Noir Infused Desert Rock from Manchester.

Born out of lead songwriter Sokolow’s un-desire to be a solo-act, the group met officially at their first ever rehearsal- just three days ahead of what was to become a near-residency, at their favoured ‘The Windmill’, Brixton.

Club Meekon is local legend and all round nice guy, Damo Rose.

The Twang boys have been putting on live music events in the town a number of years, managing to reel in big indie and alternative acts from across the country. Expect a DJ set packed with the newest indie bangers and some pumping remixes thrown in for good measure.

Expect to not leave the dancefloor whilst you wear out the soles of your shoes!

Jon, a previous winner of Glastonbury’s best new artist award has worked with the likes of Mick Jones of 'The Clash'. Jon is now on a new path wanting to use his passion and music to help create change, Jon has written an album which he hopes to release this year named 'Searching For The Divine'.

Baring microcosmic resemblance to extras in a Sergio Leone western, Little Strange co-exist in a world far-far-away from their visceral Northern base. Parallel to the rain-slicked-city-streets they stroll, the group evoke a B-movie spirit capable of capturing silver screen audiences.

Their captivating, dreamy sound caught the attention of seminal producer Dan Carey and his team of merry taste-makers: Speedy Wunderground (Tiña, Squid, Black Country New Road).

For the privileged few, you might know him from the Robin Hood, and the shindigs he throws down there. But here, we're being treated to a masterclass in tune selection. Expect everything, from '60s Garage Rock, Ska, Rare Soul, and everything in between. Club meekon playing the songs you never asked for straight out the bargain bin.

Blurred is an alternative club night based in Barrow in Furness, bringing you the best in live music and digging deep through our own selections of alternative, new wave and indie music.

THE LOCK IN ARE A GROUP OF LOCAL MUSIC LOVERS WHO GOT TOGETHER DURING LOCKDOWN TO STREAM GIGS FROM HOME AND RAISE MONEY FOR CHARITY. THEY NOW HAVE A WEBSITE & STUDIO WHERE THEY CREATE CONTENT FOR ARTISTS. EXPECT AN ECLECTIC MIX & A WONDERFUL VARIETY OF GENRES AND VIBES!

TENCS

TUSK

KEEF

Give it up for Co-founding member and Hifi resident selector, Tencs!

Tusk has been on the scene for 7 years blasting the finest in dnb and dancfloor bangers. He is one of the Monument HiFi co-founders and loves nothing more than getting the soundsystem out (the toys as referred to by Rob) and putting smiles on peoples faces.

After stumbling down the rabbit hole, a Lanny lad was enticed by a sound in the distance. Following his ears, closer and closer to the booming 175 bpm riddims, eventually he stood before a soundsystem emitting the most mental vibrations.

This individual has gone from strength to strength over the last 7 years initially performing his mixes at respectable free parties across the lands to playing range at a host of different events supporting names in the game such as Jam Thieves, Ed Solo, Motiv and many more!

NORTHERN SOUL STAGE (ROOM 1780)

Tusk has always pushed to play the best tunes for the public no matter where in the country the boys are!

The sheer power of the kicks permeated his entire body, his hair faded to a bright silver as if super-saiyan, he evolved into a zenith of pure dnb energy.

ACOUSTIC STAGE (PUB) Join Hayden J Barlow for his homecoming acoustic showcase, displaying both local artists and acts from all around the country.

Featuring a select group of local Northern Soul DJ’s we have worked with in the past! All three have an incredible appetite for sharing the soul music they adore with audiences across the South Lakes area. This a must see for anybody with a love for soul.

With artists such as Jon Dawes, Shelly’s Bane and George Elsbury, it’s set to be an absolute worldy. Head down, grab a pint of stringers and watch some of the finest acoustic acts in the county do their thing! _____________ Once the guitars have been packed away, the Lock In boys decided they will take to the stage and throw down some lovely House & Disco Vibes for you to boogie to! Expect to not leave the dancefloor whilst you wear out the soles of your shoes!
