Antonio Gervasoni

With more than 20 years of experience, Peruvian composer Antonio Gervasoni (1973) is one of the leading composers of his generation. He studied piano with Teresa Quesada and composition with Jose Sosaya at the National University of Music (formerly National Conservatory of Music). His concert music has been performed in Finland, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Chile, USA and Peru. His works for film include the soundtracks of Peruvian productions that have been distributed all over the world. He was awarded First Prize at the Vanguard Premieres Choral Composition Contest 2004 — in the Emerging Composers Category, Special Mention and Distinguished Artist at the 2014 IBLA Grand Prize and Honorable Mention at the "3er Festival Brasil de Cinema Internacional." He is also a professor of composition and orchestration at Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas - UPC. He lives and works in Lima, Peru.
