THE COLLECTION Designed by the architect Jacques Gréber, the Parque de Serralves (Park) is considered one of the earliest examples of garden art from the XX century. Characterized by a modernized classicism, gently Deco, the design of the garden, namely the fountain, represents the harmony of proportions and geometric shapes. The collection of bowls proposed by Alcino Silversmith goes in search of the ideal proportion, the perfect circle, stylized and pure. The frosted interior symbolizes the roughness of the stone and the exterior glow of the fountain’s water mirror. The connection to nature is made through the trunk of natural wood, which serves as the base of the piece.

A janela do Museu foi um dos elementos da arquitetura do edifício que serviu de mote para a criação da coleção de Bruno da Rocha. ROCHA Bruno da Rocha oscillates between two great inspirations: nature and architecture. On the one hand, the lush nature, represented by insects, plants, flowers and other organic elements. On the other hand, minimalist lines and geometric shapes inspired by emblematic architectural works of Porto, such as Casa da MĂşsica and the Ponte D. LuĂs (Bridge). The brand is reflected not only in the bold design, but also in the ergonomics of shapes. Form and function at the service of feminine sensuality.
THE COLLECTION The Museu de Serralves encloses in its minimalist lines, an invitation to the imagination. The simplicity of form opens the way to the complexity of human interpretation. Such as the works of art that it holds or the jewels that it inspires now. The window of the museum was one of the elements of the building architecture that served as a motto for the creation of this collection by Bruno da Rocha. An object that represents this dichotomy between the linearity of the form and the universe of perceptions and symbolism it incites.

THE COLLECTION
Eleuterio was founded in 1925 and has always specialized in the noble art of filigree, an ancient technique of producing jewellery with a fine gold thread. Today the grandchildren of the founder continue to keep the work of its artisans alive. The jewels have gained a new aesthetic, new designs and news combinations of gold and diamonds, with high standards of quality and finish. Eleuterio is present in several European markets, USA and Japan.
For this collection, the jeweller Eleuterio found inspiration in a decorative element of the Casa de Serralves in Porto, one of the most emblematic representations of Art Deco in Portugal - an Egyptian hand fan that is part of a wrought iron door, created by Edgar Brandt for the Universal Exhibition of Decorative Arts, in Paris, in 1925. In his time, Edgar Brandt was a visionary who defended the ancestral knowledge of wrought iron craftsmen. A century later, Eleuterio defends the work of the filigree artisans, using this art to create modern pieces, aligned with current trends.

LILIANA Liliana Guerreiro é uma das mais proeminentes designers de joalharia contemporânea em Portugal. Natural de Viana do Castelo, encontrou na filigrana a inspiração para o seu trabalho, desconstruindo a complexidade da técnica nos seus elementos primários – o filum (fio) e o granum (grão). A sua estética estabelece um diálogo entre a mestria da arte e o design minimalista e depurado, criando peças complexas na técnica, mas delicadas na forma.

“Émile”, a coleção de Liliana Guerreiro dedicada a Serralves, parte da observação da delicadeza e geometria dos pormenores das caixilharias da Casa de Serralves, elementos que contribuem de modo discreto, mas absolutamente fundamental para a elegância de todo o edifício. O círculo e a fina linha vertical, formas muito frequentes nas obras de Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, um dos autores do projeto da Casa, constituem as formas escolhidas para o desenho das peças. A coleção, que se baseia num elemento que integra em si o círculo e a fina linha, apresenta peças que exploram a singularidade deste elemento, ou o multiplicam procurando a organicidade que caracteriza a sua estética, e que inevitavelmente também associamos ao Parque de Serralves.

GUERREIRO Liliana Guerreiro is one of the most prominent contemporary jewellery designers in Portugal. Born in Viana do Castelo, she found in the filigree the inspiration for her work, deconstructing the complexity of the technique in its primary elements - filum (wire) and granum (grain). Her aesthetic establishes a dialogue between the mastery of art, and the minimalist refined design, creating pieces that are complex in technique, but delicate in form.
THE COLLECTION
“Émile”, Liliana Guerreiro’s collection dedicated to Serralves, is inspired by the delicacy and geometry of the details of the Casa de Serralves window frames, elements that contribute in a discreet but fundamental way to the elegance of the whole building. The circle and the thin vertical line, very frequent in the works of Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, one of the authors of the Casa de Serralves project, are the forms chosen for the design of the pieces. The collection, which is based on an element that integrates the circle and the fine line, presents pieces that explore the singularity of this element, or multiply it by looking for the organic nature that characterizes its aesthetics, and which inevitably we also associate with the Parque de Serralves.

ROSAS For Luísa Rosas, designing jewellery is not only a natural inheritance but an inevitable way of looking at the world, its patterns, movements and textures. This creative aptitude proved to be decisive in her very personal way of observing the shapes inspired by Nature, rationalizing, simplifying, geometrizing and building pieces of sheer creativity and expression.
THE COLLECTION
Luísa Rosas not only feels inspired by the shapes, but also, likes her pieces to become organic objects with movement, that come alive in contact with the body. In this challenge, Luísa Rosas was inspired by the design of a door handle that establishes the link between the Casa de Serralves and the Jardim (Garden), that is, between the interior space and nature and turns it into a delicate, organic piece, that seems to gently move in the light breeze.

Entre os elementos decorativos, a consola da sala de jantar foi o elemento escolhido para a criação desta coleção de edição limitada. Desenhado por Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, este objeto Art Déco foi tema de uma interpretação contemporânea, resultando em formas pouco usuais e fortemente geométricas.

THE COLLECTION The fascination for the design and detail present in the interiors of Casa de Serralves, served as inspiration for Diana Vieira da Silva, creative director of Monseo.
Among the decorative elements, the dining room console was the element chosen for the creation of this limited-edition collection. Designed by Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann, this Art Deco object was the subject of a contemporary interpretation, resulting in unusual and strongly geometric forms.
