We look forward to seeing you all at these events! We would like to remind you that the closing date for application for subsidies to travel to FAAPI 2002 is September 9th. If you haven't submitted your application yet, you still have time! More information is available from the APIBA Web site. Also, those members who do not yet have their copies of APIBA SIGs Handbook 2002, by Analía Kandel, M.A. and Thirty Years of Teaching English: A History of the Asociación de Profesores de Inglés de Buenos Aires, 1971-2001, by Dr. Raymond Day, are reminded they can collect them from the APIBA office during office hours.

Members with overdue payments may get up to date by paying only $100 ($50 for 2001 and $50 for 2002). Materials

Design

The 2002 APIBA Annual Seminar will take place on Saturday 19th October (9 am to 4 pm) at IES en Lenguas Vivas "J. R. Fernández", Carlos Pellegrini 1515. The general subject area of the seminar will be Methodology and Materials Design, and the presenters will be announced shortly. Silvia Luppi will coordinate a panel discussion by Corine Arguimbau, Silvia Rettaroli, Silvia Ronchetti and Ma. Silvia Stagnaro, followed by workshops on specific areas of Materials Design and the presentation of the winners of My Favourite Classroom Task Task. You can't miss it!
