Concert Duo Gelebeševi On the 5th of June 2008,
Katerina GelebeševaKostadinovska and Gligor Gelebešev had a concert with a promotion on their new CD in the Apollonia Hotel in Gevgelija. Pieces by Shopen, Debussy, Hachaturijan and Shabrie were included in the concert program.

The promoters of the CD were Ms. Tanja Grkovska, graduated musicologist, and Ms. Vaska Naumova Tomovska, music critic.
The Gelebeševi piano duo are performing together since 2001 and they’ve had many concerts in the biggest cities in the country and abroad. Gligor and Katerina are the winners of several international awards and work as piano professors at the Secondary Music School and the Faculty of Music in Skopje. Among the awards there is also a special international recognition that Katerina won for performing pieces from Boris Papandopulo. This newsletter is also attainable on this following web pages:

Set right your mistake The Junior Club from Gevgelija, in the project of the Local Junior Initiative, on 18.06.2008 at 18 o’clock organized a tournament in FootDall, BasketDall, HandDall,
TeMMis, VolleyDall just to remind the authorities that the young people today do sport in very bad locations without having a gym or a sports center in Gevgelija. So they improvise and demand that the sports center started in 2000 to be finished. The event that took place where the sports center should be built, draw the attention of many local people, many young people who have a need of this kind of a center. The event was financially supported by the Foundation
Institute of the open society in Macedonia, and the local supporters, Apollonia Foundation, Vipro, TV Nova and Time FM radio.
Nature Day—Party for the youngest On the 13 th on June, in the Apollonia Green Garden Cafe, Apollonia Foundation organized party for the youngest children from the Primary Schools. This party was prepared from the Nature Day team, who wanted to congratulate to all first grades the finishing of their first successful school year. This party was about playing games, dancing, competing and Alexander, having lots of fun. We also in7 years old formed the children that Nature Day project continues with its programs and activities during the summer holiday, and that all children are welcome to join us every weekend in exploration on the beauty of NATURE.

Academic Vasko Taškovski, life and work Vasko Taškovski was born on 31st August, 1937 in the village Nizo Pole, Bitola. Completed The School of Applied Arts in Skopje in 1958 and graduated from the Academy of Applied Arts in Belgrade in 1964. In the period between 1966 and 1991 he worked as a set designer in the Macedonian Television. Apart from paintings in oil, he also works in watercolors and graphics. Occasionally he makes graphic design, too. He has had 40 one-man exhibitions, and has taken part in a lot of group exhibitions in the country and abroad. His work was also presented to the Paris public in 1992 with an imposing exhibition and auction of about 100 works. On 25 May was open his 41st Exhibition of Vasko in Apollonia Hotel. Vasko Taškovski is also member of MANU– Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts. Vasko Taškovski felt his tendency and power of mastering the drowning in his early age, and he has been searching with primordial fanaticism and finding all the possibilities to bring about maximum in this field. Taškovski has artistic build painting nature, and he dedicated his knowledge to a special kind of fantasy.

Apollonia Foundation believes that cultural heritage forms our individual, local and national identity. It is something to be respected and celebrated. So that’s why we support culture in all different areas: music, literature, art, theater and archeology. In the field of art we have done the following: • Seven years of the existence of the Apollonia Foundation Art Commune, with the participation of artists from Macedonia and abroad. • Funding, organizing and hosting the exhibition of art works from Gevgelija in Hotel Apollonia.
Lets all work together for Greater Good!
• Providing and managing an art exhibition venue to artists from Macedonia and abroad in the Art Gallery of Apollonia Hotel. • A cooperation with the art group in the School Center “Josif Josivovski” from Gevgelija, with which the foundation funds their activities.
