A lovely handwritten thank-you note should be sent within 3 months. Set a daily goal to write a few each day. It is a lot easier to write three or four notes a day than a hundred notes all at once.

Creating Your Wedding Registry

C

reating a gift registry with your Honey is fun! But staying focused may be difficult with so many cool gadgets on the market. Be careful not to register for too many frivolous gifts or you may end up receiving too few practical ones. What if you already have everything you need? Creating a cash gift registry may be right for you. Use it to help pay for your honeymoon or wedding bills. Several online sites offer this service. But beware of the service fees; some charge as much as 15%.

tips

Let your guests know about your wedding registry at least 2 months in advance. It is considered poor etiquette to include registry information on a wedding invitation. Include this information on shower invitations or on your wedding website. What do some of your friends and family say they wish they would have registered for? Ask them. Register for gifts with a wide price range. Keep track of wedding gifts as they arrive, and write thank-you notes daily. Ask the store where you are registering if they keep track of who bought you what. This makes remembering who gave what an ease when writing thank you notes.

Your girls, your besties, your sisters and now your Bridesmaids. They cannot wait to support you on your special day! It may be a good idea to involve your Bridesmaids when choosing a dress. Select ten styles and have your bridesmaids select the dress they prefer. Many brides today are allowing their bridesmaids to choose different dresses, then unifying them by ordering them all in the same color. Even if your Bridesmaids will be wearing the same dresses there are ways to individualize each one with accessories. From her jewelry to her shoes, each bridesmaid is sure to find a way to express themselves.

BLUSHING a few quick tips

• A month before your wedding is a great time to test drive your hairstyle and work out any kinks with your stylist. • Drink plenty of water! This helps to banish bloat while keeping your skin looking fabulous. R e m e m b e r, healthy skin, is hydrated skin! • Don’t get your haircut during the first two weeks prior to your wedding. Also, do any waxing one week before. This gives your skin some time to recover from any redness or bumps. • If you are getting a spray tan or acrylic nails, two to three days before your wedding is the time to do it. • Know when your hair looks its best. Some hairstyles work best if hair is w a s h e d t h e d a y b e f o r e t h e w e d d i n g r a t h e r t h a n o n t h e w e d d i n g d a y. • Be sure to get plenty of beauty sleep to prevent dark circles or puffy eyes.

Many couples are customizing their rings, engraving special notes inside and even choosing socially responsible diamonds. our wedding should be a reflection of your

personal style. This includes your floral selections. Flowers are like jewelry for your wedding and will be the crowning touch for your wedding day.

flowers

Schedule an appointment, well in advance, with your florist to discuss your floral needs. The more information you provide, the easier it will be for your florist to guide you with additional ideas and suggestions.

tips for your wedding consultation: r

Bring photos that inspire you. Provide a picture of your ceremony location if it is not available to view online. Provide a photo of your gown and bridesmaid dresses along with a swatch of fabric if possible. When making your floral selections, ask your florist about unique foliages that can be used with your flowers. (This adds additional texture and dimension to bouquets and table centerpieces.) Consider a floral accent at each guest’s place setting. ,

transportation

Getting there Coordinating transportation to and from your wedding is a detail that doesn’t have to drive you crazy. The transportation company you use can arrange getting everyone delivered (and returned) on time and in style. Guests flying in for your wedding will need some kind of transportation during the time they are here. Your transportation company may offer these services for out-oftown guests. Limousines, Carriages, Buses and Shuttles are some common types of transportation available. Check with your ceremony and/or reception venues to see if transportation is provided.
