Welcome Mr. Ambassador!
On 12 January 2021, the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, H.E. Dr. Saad Alammar, presented his credentials to H.E. Mrs. K. Sakellaropoulou. During the ceremony, the two sides exchanged views on growing friendly relations between the Hellenic Republic and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and issues of common concern.

In this regard, it is worth mentioning that the Saudi-Greek relations have been exemplary in every aspect for more than five decades and that now, the regional and international geopolitical developments are adding a new momentum to the bonds of the two countries.
Dr. Saad Alammar is a familiar face at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of his country. He began his career back in 1981, assuming various positions and responsibilities at the Institute of Public Administration and later a position of a Deputy Assistant for Employment Affairs at Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Saudi Arabia. Prior to his arrival to Greece, he held two key positions - Consultant to the Royal Court of Saudi Arabia (2015 to 2020) and the Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs at the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). From 2002 to 2010, Ambassador Alammar was General Director of the Institute of Diplomatic Studies at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh.
