PROUD SPALDING

Over the past year, our students have made us proud by excelling in all aspects of campus life. They performed over 50,000 hours of service to our community and our world. Our Cavaliers invented new technologies to solve problems, achieved championships in multiple sports, and exceeded academic expectations. The class of 2023, who have now joined the ranks of our alums spread across the globe having earned over $37 million in merit aid, have already begun paying it forward to future Cavaliers through their own philanthropic support!

With a new and energetic advancement team focused on our mission as a Catholic school, we are looking forward to broadening our reach as we share the good news of Spalding. With your continued support, we will welcome new generations of Cavalier families so that we may always remain One Spalding that is One in Christ.

ADVANCEMENT UPDATES

This year’s tournament was record-breaking. We had over 200 golfers for the first time ever and a net profit just shy of 37K for this beloved event, almost 14K more than last year! We thank our sponsors, players, and other contributors for this tremendous support! The profit from this tournament benefits both Lieutenant James Love and Captain John Graziano Scholarship Funds. Jamie and John were men of integrity and character who treated others with kindness, respect, and compassion.

Lt. James H. Love was a 1977 graduate from Spalding, a Navy rescue helicopter pilot. Captain Graziano ’08 was a decorated T-38c instructor pilot

WELCOME TO THE ADVANCEMENT TEAM

I am thrilled to embrace my new role as Vice President for Advancement at Archbishop Spalding High School! As a passionate advocate for Catholic education, I am eager to lead the charge in fostering strong relationships with students, parents, alumni, grandparents, community partners, and all those who make up this incredible community. With a dedicated team by m side, I am excited to make a lasting impact on the school's development and create a brighter future for all those we serve.

My immediate priorities include enhancing our data and communications, unifying the school’s fundraising efforts, and meeting as many community members in person as possible. This year, the purpose of our Spalding Fun is Uniting in Purpose, Igniting Potential. We encourage everyone to conside making an annual donation to our Spalding Fund to support critical areas such as curriculum development, faculty and staff retention, extracurricular activities, technological advancements, and financial aid opportunities.

I look forward to meeting you and getting to know the Spalding community over this next year. Go Cavs!

I am excited to take on the Director of Alumni Engagement role at Archbishop Spalding. I am a member of the Class of 1995, and my mother and siblings are l S alding alumni. I have had the pleasure of working at Spalding for over 20 d the opportunity to get to know many of our over 14,000 alumni. accepted this position, I was most excited about the word "engagement." to reengage our alumni and meet them where they are. Whether that providing opportunities to visit the campus, catching up at reunions, ing at happy hours, or visiting cities outside of the area, I want to engage mni in meaningful activities that will make them want to come back.

hort term, I plan to beef up our alumni's social media presence, lish an alumni newsletter, and launch a blitz campaign to update alumni tion. Down the road, I am looking to establish a mentorship program, create more networking opportunities, and continue building the sense of the "One in Christ" community that has made our school community so strong.

I am confident that we can create an alumni engagement program that is second to none. I look forward to working with you all to make Spalding a great place to learn, grow, and give back.
