We were given the Bank of England, located on Castle Street to renovate for our first term module, we had to turn it into an office space that sold goods. For mine I decided on a florist that sold and grows flowers in the Greenhouse and makes glass vases in the basement using a unique cog structure to move transport the made vases onto the shop floor.
In the second term for out final project of third year we were given the National Westminster Bank to renovate into a hotel with the theme of secret society. I chose to look at cults and turned my hotel into a sanctuary for people who want to leave cults and re-join society, basing my theme off the ‘5 stages of grief’ and linking aspects to create a journey through the hotel to come out the other side cleansed and free their past life.
