About Me
Since I was a child I have always had a great passion for design and creative thinking. Weather its appreciating others work or making my own, I really enjoy getting invloved. I particularly love drawing, photography and model making however I chase the sense of achievement in learning new skills and discovering how I can best implement them into my work and leisure.
Comprehensive Design Project
Ocular Descent
3rd year Second Semester
As a scuba diving centre, the building aims to bridge the experience of walking the docks with the nautical world.
Exhibiting a large central silo positioned within heavy weight blade like structures and grand atriums, The focal point is on the experience of scale and awe similar to ones experience of the ocean and cliffs.
For this Project I aimed to have a consistent colour scheme to allow the water elements to become more evident.
Comprehensive Design Project
Ocular Descent
3rd year Second Semester
I aimed to focus in more on the details to add greater depth to my designs.
I did this through examining the texture and spatial quality of the spaces around me like the Library I worked in whilst doing this project.
Weather or Not Biophillic
Canopy
3rd year First Semester
Biophilia: a hypothetical human tendency to interact or be closely associated with other forms of life in nature: a desire or tendency to commune with nature.
Attempting to tackle climate change can seem a daunting task and this project aims to engage visitors with the issues by truly immersing them in the environment and allowing them to build a more personal connection in the hopes that climate change can be taken more seriously on a personal scale.
The Urban Locomotive
2nd Year Second Semester
This project aimed to heal the scars of the industrial revolution and bring back nature to the area as part of a larger scheme to regenerate the sense of community and connect the old victorian viaducts left behind as a reminder of our Liverpool’s past.
My project consisted of an internal and external nature exhibition encompassing viewing platforms to the rest of the city.
Model Making
Model making has been a vital part of my design process and a passion. I use both computer aided design as well as hand cut models to help me progress and display my design in a more tactile way.
Biophillic Canopy Project
Development Process
Sketching is a vital part of designing for me and It helps me get my ideas down and it also helps to find solutions to problems I cant solve in my head.
Throughout my time studying as an undergraduate I have developed my sketching skills through the constant use in the development of my projects.
