I’m a Third Year Interior Architecture Undergraduate Student based in Bristol and have recently completed my studies at Liverpool John Moores University. I’m now pursuing a masters in Sustainable Heritage Management at Liverpool University.

CDP - LOST SOULS HOTEL

My hotel aims to create a space that fosters socialization and community building among guests. As humans, we are shaped by our shared experiences with others. Travelling and staying in different places should magnify those experiences, however in hotels guests tend to stay confined to their rooms therefore my aim is to provide opportunities for visitors to connect with each other. To achieve this successfully my design prioritizes communal spaces such as the central garden where everyone can gather, relax and enjoy each others company.

DIGITAL WEBFORM

This brief allowed me to develop a multi use office building for a company of my choice. I chose to ‘start up’ an independant lighting company, which combinines product ideas from companies such as Finite Solutions and YellowPop. Its aim being to promote more creative lighting options around the home and workspace, through putting on events and exhibitions to celebrate local artists work similarly to the infamous River Of Light exhibition that takes place annually in Liverpool.

Everything that gets produced and sold happens within the building whilst housing a friendly relaxing place for the workers to complete their daily tasks.

VENUE

This brief required me to design a venue within the existing New Zealand house. This venue had to comfortably host 30-300 people, with it being adaptable to feel atmospheric in either scenario. My theatre is inspired by the cabaret with a jazz bar at the forefront of the building and three bars throughout.

It’s aim being to provide a glamourous evening at an affordable price with extravagant decor in a regal colour palette. Mainly drawing inspiration from the Academy Award winning film La La Land, which perfectly shows the joining of jazz and theatre.
