African buffalos are stocky members of the cow family. The females form protective herds whilst the males are mostly solitary. Members of the herd are thought to 'vote' on which direction the herd should move.

Did you know… Animals - Owls 1. Owls are divided into two families; Barn Owls and True Owls (also called Typical Owls). They have long fur that is brownish red, grey or white. Coyotes have a bushy tail like a fox. 2. Owls have many different sounds; the hooting is probably the most famous, but some owls screech, while others whistle, squeak, and hiss.. 3. Owls’ babies are called owlets. 4. The female owl sits on the eggs to maintain the temperature and also loses the feathers on her belly to be able to transfer more body heat to the eggs. 5. Owlets can’t even maintain their body temperature (Thermo regulate) on their own. So, the mother broods over the nest to keep the babies warm.
6. Owls fly almost without a sound because they have broad special constructed wings. 7. A group of owls is called a parliament.. 8. Owls are zygodactyl, which means their feet have two forward-facing toes and two backward-facing toes. 9. Owls can rotate their necks at 270 degrees, 135 degrees on either side.. 10. You can find owls in many places, from forests and deserts to mountains and prairies..

Environment Start Your Own Initiative or Volunteer With Environmental Organizations Whether it’s something small like starting a community clean-up group or building a large social organization with significant reach and impact, taking initiatives for environmental conservation can go a long way.
Save Resources Did you know that only 0.03% of the 70% of water available to us is freshwater? That’s why, saving water is so important for freshwater ecosystems. By doing simple things like taking shorter showers, avoiding small clothes washes, and turning your taps off while brushing, you can save gallons of water! Buy Sustainable Products Plastic is one of the most significant contributors to soil and marine pollution, endangering both the land and marine life. Plastic isn’t biodegradable and is often consumed by animals who mistake it as food. When buying a product, be aware of its environmental impact and disposal after use. Recycle More Often Recycling is a simple, yet effective way of conserving resources and reducing your individual carbon footprint. Rather than throwing everything in the trash, separate your plastic, paper, and metal waste, and deposit it in a recycling bin. Recycling helps reduce landfill pollution, raw materials and fossil fuel consumption, and generates a circular economy.

How You Can Get Started …In Activism Are you ready to be a Vegan-Activist? If you’re wondering, how you can get started, here are some suggestions:
Activism If you want to be an advocate to help end an injustice, then find your passion. You might investigate the following topics: global warming, factory farming, animal rights, or children living in harsh conditions. Whatever topic you choose, it is up to you. What affects you most? Activism helps to improve the world. Once you have found your cause, read up, learn more, sign up to help. Every act, no matter how small, can help transform the world. Encourage your friends and family to support you and join you. Can people under age 21 make a real impact on society? The answer is YES!
