Sometimes we “cross” our fingers for good luck. We may think that “crossing our fingers is a big deal, but the “Cross” on which Jesus died was a REALLY BIG DEAL! Jesus willingly died on a “Cross” for our sins, so that, by faith in Jesus, we may have our sins forgiven and receive everlasting life! You are invited to come and celebrate the fact that Jesus is alive! The Resurrection of Jesus from the dead is something to celebrate. We invite you to come and rejoice with us! Join us at First Brethren Church on April 17, Easter Sunday, and experience the glory of the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead! Our breakfast starts at 8:30, followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 and our Worship Service at 10:30. First Brethren Church is located at 210 N. Church St., Pleasant Hill (corner of Walnut and Church Sts., one block west of Indian’s Pizza). For more information you can call the church at 937-6762802. You may locate us at www.firstbrethrenchurch.weebly.com or join us on facebook: Pleasant Hill First Brethren Church.

Pleasant Hill Blood Drive Set April 15 Support the blood supply during spring break and the Easter holiday period by donating at the Village of Pleasant Hill Council community blood drive Friday, April 15, 12 to 4 p.m., at the Newton Field House Community Center, 201 Long St., Pleasant Hill. Everyone who registers to donate will receive a “Giving is Good” T-shirt. Schedule an appointment online at www.DonorTime.com or call 937-461-3220. With the pandemic receding the community is returning to social events and outdoor activities that distract from donating. The Easter holiday period is an especially challenging time for maintaining the blood supply because of spring breaks, vacation travel, and holiday closings. Type O blood remains in low supply. CBC is urging community members to set a goal to donate three times in 2022. Consider donating platelets, plasma, or double red cells. Call 937-461-3220 to learn how you can help.
