CHS Announces Athletic Hall of Fame Nominations Are Being Accepted In 1984 the Covington Athletic Department initiated an Athletic Hall of Fame to honor Covington graduates who have distinguished themselves in athletics. Over the past 39 years, CHS has inducted 93 members, 37 honorary members, and seven teams. This coming year marks the 40th year for this event. The next Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Friday, Nov. 25, before the high school boys’ basketball game vs. Ansonia, at approximately 5:30 p.m. Hall of Fame inductees will also be introduced between the JV and Varsity boys’ basketball games that night. Anyone wishing to submit a nomination should do so with a letter to the Athletic Director, detailing as much information as possible about the potential inductee. Bluegrass Festival Planned at Bradford School Auditeria Mark your calendars for June 24 as Bluegrass returns to Bradford! Music will begin at 5:30 at the Bradford School Auditeria and will end around 9 p.m. We are pleased to welcome Lemongrass, Laurel Mountain, Berachah Valley, and New Mountain Heritage to the stage for our 22nd Festival! Caleb and Morgan Ingram will also entertain us with a couple of songs. Food will be available from the Bradford Historical Society and a 50/50 raffle to help the library with costs will be held. This year’s festival is in honor of the late Norene Boltin. She, along with the late Carolene Coy, first planned this event as a way to say Thank You to our loyal community and patrons… and we still offer it today for the same reason.
