Where will I study?

This full-time course will be taught at your local centre. In the second semester at least one day of each week will be spent gaining practical experience in a work placement setting.

What qualifications do I need to enrol on this course? Potential students require no specific qualifications for this course. However, all students will be expected to have a keen interest in agriculture and land-based industries. Practical agricultural experience will also be considered favourably.

Will I receive a recognised qualification? Yes, upon completing the course you will achieve an SCQF credit at Level 6.

How can I continue to develop my skills? After successfully completing the course you may be able to progress to HNC and HND Agriculture. Alternatively, successful students could consider embarking upon an agricultural apprenticeship programme or look to gain employment as a stock person, tractor operator or general farm worker.

Why should I consider an NC Agriculture course? Do you want to learn the basic practical skills involved in the many disciplines of agricultural practice?
