The full-time course will be taught at your local centre.

What qualifications do I need to enrol on this course?

Potential students require no special academic qualifications for this course. All students will be interviewed individually by the Course Tutor and will need to show a genuine interest in digital media computing – whether in multimedia, business information technology or computer games.

How can I continue to develop my skills? A natural next step for those students who wish to continue developing their skills would be Digital Media Computing National Certificate Level 5. This course explores in greater depth the underlying principles and practical applications of Digital Media Computing. Alternatively you may be able to progress immediately to HNC level study.

Why should I consider a Digital Media Computing course?

Do you want to improve your skills in multimedia, networking, computer games and business information technology? Do you want study a course which will prepare you for a job in business computing, web design or publishing? Do you want to work towards a digital media computing qualification which will enable you to study further at HNC or degree level? Then this course may well be the right course for you. Taught over one year, the course will help you develop and improve your skills and gain confidence and practical experience in the many and varied areas of digital media computing. The course will introduce the following main areas: • Internet and online communications • Office and personal productivity systems • Computer hardware and systems • Digital media and applications • Digital numeracy • Digital communication methods The course has been designed to allow students to study National Progression Awards . These Awards , which are SQA recognised, can be studied on part-time basis.
