Kickstart your career by joining our team
Heavy books will get you a long way, but an internship at Arkitema will give you a hands on experience, increase your professional development and put your knowledge and curiosity to test in one of Scandinavia’s leading architectural firms.
We will prepare you for the future if you are interested in moving forward.

We have Scandinavian roots
First and foremost, you will be part of a smaller design team, but during your internship, you will also meet several colleagues working in creative teams across our offices in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
In 2019, Arkitema became part of COWI Group. This has boosted our competencies further and strengthened our presence in Scandinavia.

Having a mentor gave me a colleague to go to with big and small questions. It is especially important in the beginning, while getting to know the people and the ways of working at the studio.

Taking part in both small and large-scale projects has given me an incredible drive. One of my mentors said; You gain responsibility if you take responsibility - and this has proven to be true.

b I was curious about working on healthcare projects because this type of architecture meets my interest in healing architecture and complements theories that I acquired during my studies.
With our professional breadth you will acquire a multidisciplinary understanding of the profession, where you can, among other things, work with concept development, model building, 3D development and the preparation of graphic layouts for everything from master plans to details.

A framework with room for every individual to thrive and to learn
You will be part of a new fellowship with other students, who may have different educational backgrounds than yours.
Along the way, you will meet with your peers across offices going on excursions, construction site visits, and planning Friday bars, etc.
19 Social life during your internship
Good social relations are created among both interns and colleagues, over a a game of table football, daily common lunch and good coffee or over an occasional friday beer.
Our internship often includes a trip to some of our favourite projects. Here, one of Arkitema’s playfull ones, the Royal Danish Library in Aarhus.
aInternship
It’s exciting to explore completed projects, and to get a better insight into the process of a construction. In addition, getting out of the office once in a while also adds a good dynamic to the internship program.

At the end of each internship, we say goodbye to our talented interns with a little gift and a few words summing up their time with us.
It is never fun to say goodbye but we always hope to see our interns again as student helpers or full time colleagues.
