INTRODUCTION

Foreword By Doreen Collins

Dear Residents and Visitors Welcome to the 26th edition of the Diss Town Guide – a Guide designed to inform and promote our wonderful Market Town and the many attractions, facilities and businesses within its boundary. Since the last Guide we have lived through a very challenging time for us all with Covid19 leaving a lasting impact on residents, retailers and businesses. Positivity is gradually returning in the town and events are starting to be organised for the coming year including celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, the Carnival and the Organ Festival. New play equipment has been installed in the Park, the Tourist Information Centre has acquired a new purpose with an initiative to encourage new start up businesses and the Corn Hall is open again for your entertainment with plays, comedy, films and music concerts on offer. The Guide again includes all the information you may require for clubs and societies, local services, travel, health and welfare, tradesmen and much more and is provided free of charge to all households. The information contained within the Guide is as uptodate as possible to obtain and grateful thanks goes to the publishers and the Committee for their efforts in completing this process.
