Sports and Games Diss & District Angling Club The membership has fishing rights for the Mere, Upper Waveney, Match Lake at Carlton Fen and Yaxley Lake. Weekly competitions are arranged in season. We also have a fully licensed bar and social membership is available. We welcome any new members and offer a free taster session to anyone wishing to try the game. Diss & District Cricket Club With three teams competing in the Norfolk Cricket Alliance and four junior teams, Diss are one of the top clubs in Norfolk. It is part of the club's aim to provide cricket for youngsters as well as providing good playing and social facilities for the more seasoned cricketers in the area. There are under 11s, under 13s and under 15s teams for boys and girls. Training for youngsters up to 15 years of age takes place on Friday evenings from 6.15pm to 7.45pm, at the Rectory Meadow.
