How t o $LAY $enior Year You only get to be an ASD senior once (hopefully)....

Before we get into to details, some questions that need answers.

"Is it possible to even enjoy $enior year with COVID-19 playing a part in our lives?" The answer for your question is YES. We are still $eniors in the end of the day, am i right? So you better make the most of this COVID-19 $enior year!

"Why are you writing about this? It's just Senior year." Are you JOKING... Ladies and gentlemen we have a comedian in the house. No it is not just another '$enior year.' We are probably the most impacted, eventful, crazy senior class there is. I can guarantee you, 20 years from now, class of 2021 will still be known as the class who $LAYED their senior year in a PANDEMIC. The question should be "Why wouldn't I write about this!"

"Why should I even believe that your tips will work?" Because I am Nayad Douaihy, just trust me...

Now, as we all know, rules and regulations have been put into place while in this sticky situation. Social distancing, masks, having your hands dry out for the amount of times you sanitize them , limited amount of gatherings, and the list goes on. But let me tell you how to enjoy this year, and absolutely demolish it.

Watch out American School of Dubai. The class of 2021 will be a class to go down in history.

$LAY CONQUER LEAVE YOUR M ARK 1. St ar t ever yt h in g ear ly Coming from a former procrastinator, anxiety is not the way to finish your work. Push through this first semester, get those tasks out of your way, so you enjoy your 'YOU' time.

2. $LEEP DUDE Don't even kid yourself, we all know $enior year is a hectic year. Or at least the first semester is. Take the time that you have to yourself to relax and to sleep.

3. Wor k h ar d, bu t $lack of f occasion ally $enioritis. Ah, the known take-it-easy attitude that us $eniors adopt when we are almost to the finish line. But, letting yourself have that free time to do WHATEVER you want is just as important as doing work. The usual mistake and assumption people make is that $enior year is all about university prep. Yea sure, it is a key factor in $enior year. But we need a social life too, especially now that we barley even have options for social outings, LET US BE FREE!!!

4. Please don't f r on t You don't need to try to be someone you are not. Girl if all you do is paint, $HOW THAT OFF. My guy, if you only like football, FLEX THAT. When writing college applications, and essays, so many $eniors feel the need to tinker with who they really are, in hopes that it 'fits in' with the application. Don't do it.

5. Nobody ever said you can't en joy $en ior year Just because we have to follow rules, does not mean we can't have fun. I know that so much has been taken away from us, but please, do not let this affect how much fun $enior year can be.
