THE ARTS SEASON 2013-2014

The American School of Dubai's Performing Arts program is dedicated to having a positive impact on students through a variety of opportunities. ASD offers educational and cultural opportunities to future leaders. Through these experiences, students learn life lessons to serve them well as adults, developing a lasting interest in the Arts and the attitude and inspiration to give back to others.

Each year, AMIS sponsors a variety of music festivals that are especially designed to benefit students in international schools.

Reserving Seats and Ticket Purchase There is no assigned seating for performances that are free of charge.

Arrive early for best seating. If tickets are sold for a performance, tickets are available for reservation online with payment at the ASD Box Office.

Theater Etiquette The ASD Theater is a 630 seat, state-of-the-art theater of the performing arts.

Completed in 2011, this facility is known throughout Dubai as one of the finest performance venues in the UAE. • We encourage laughing and clapping.

• Please refrain from talking during performances.

• No food or drink is allowed in the Theater.

• Please turn off your mobile devices.

•V ideo, photography and audio recordings are strictly prohibited during the performances.

Ticket revenue supports expenses associated with bringing world class performance opportunities to the students of the American School of Dubai.

Patron of the Arts Program Opportunity to be Involved ASD is grateful for the generosity of parents, alumni, friends and organizations who share a passion to support the creativity of our students through the arts.

Opportunities exist to be an annual ASD Patron of the Arts. Annual patrons receive recognition by name in season and performance brochures, websites and more.

What do gifts support?

Gifts and sponsorships augment enhancements to the arts program and student opportunities. Examples of gift impact: travel for guest artists, professional development for faculty, student and guest artist workshops, costumes, set design and other student production expenses.

If you wish to become an ASD Patron of the Arts, please contact the Advancement Office to discuss projects for sponsorships and underwriting.
