ASD’s Commitment, Mission, and Core Values The American School of Dubai is an independent not-for-profit, US Curriculum community school, offering what is best about American education in order to provide learning experiences designed to promote the maximum potential of its students.
ASD’S CORE VALU E S —compassion, excellence,
integrity, respect, responsibility—represent a commitment to how we will act as individuals and as a community. It is a contract that is especially important during a crisis. The values allow us a lens in which to set priorities and make decisions. They give us strength during a confusing and emotional time, and they compel us to take an ethical approach to our obligations to others.
AS D ’ S MI S S I O N —We challenge and inspire each student to achieve their dreams and to become a passionate learner prepared to adapt and contribute in a rapidly changing world—articulates the school’s purpose, why it exists and the role it plays in society. As with the Core Values, all important decisions are filtered through the Mission, to ensure we are doing right by our students.
