SPECIAL NOTE ON COVID-19: In accordance with mandates from the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) of Dubai and the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), all private schools in Dubai, U.A.E. moved to distance learning on March 7, 2020 just after the beginning weeks of the second semester. All students transitioned into virtual learning that provided both asynchronous and synchronous learning platforms. Our students enhanced their skills of communication, organization, and adaptability in the leap to distance learning. A key part of learning is to confront new challenges and work together to innovate and solve challenges together. We have full confidence in both the content that was delivered, as well as the grades that were earned. For the 20202021 academic year, we have begun with an 80/20% Blended Learning model with students in school for 4 days and virtual for 1 day each week. Students unable to attend in person participate in a robust model of distance learning that includes streamed lessons, teacher conferencing, and live-virtual student partnerships. Our standards based grading policy will be in place for the academic year, along with our entire AP college preparatory curriculum.
