Kaley’s Corner
Website: http://thisclicksphotography.com
Disney World Disney World continued to be high on the fun things to do list in 2015. The girls made a quick weekend trip up in midJanuary and then their typical Spring Break trip in March. In April, they made a special trip up so that Kaley could meet up with a friend who she had met online playing on a Minecraft Disney server.
Kaley turned 14 years old in June. This is her first year in high school at Coral Reef Sr. High. She is in the drama program in the Visual and Performing Arts Academy. This year she only attends drama every other day, but will have drama daily starting in her sophomore year. Kaley recently started track conditioning five days a week after school and will be trying out for the Track and Field team in January. At first she was training only 3 days a week, but when she showed up to give hurdles a try, the coach said that she was a natural. She has developed a love of running and has been participating in local r unning events around South Florida. More about this can be found on the sports page. She has already started accumulating volunteer hours needed for graduation. She recently volunteered two nights at a Halloween event at Gold Coast Railroad Museum and she is an elf during the Polar Express event, also taking place during the month of December at the railroad museum.
In late August, just before the start of high school, the girls went up and made their first visit to Typhoon Lagoon and then hit Hollywood Studios and the Magic Kingdom. Instead of their usual Thanksgiving weekend visit, Amy and Kaley made a 3 day weekend visit in mid-November. This allowed them to go to their first Epcot Food and Wine Festival and their first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Of course the also saw the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Hollywood Studios. This is sadly the final season for the lights, as the park is making room for future expansion. They visited two more times in December, which were totally unplanned trips. Now that they have passes with no block out dates, anything is possible!

Summer in the Smoky Mountains June 2015
This year the girls drove to the Smoky Mountains for a week long summer vacation. They started their trip with an overnight stay in Chattanooga and a visit to Rock City. The rest of the trip was spent in Gatlinburg and they stayed in their favorite place, the Highland Condos. Their activities included horseback riding, ziplining, mountain coaster s, Dollywood and of course, visiting their favorite spots inside the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Read more about their trip over on the blog: http://tinyurl.com/hz3ca45
Fall in the Smoky Mountains October 2015
Unsure that there was even going to be a fall trip this year, Amy ended up going solo. Kaley is determined to earn straight A’s this year, so she decided to stay home to attend to her school work. The fall colors were beautiful this year and Amy spent nearly 4 days visiting both new and old places. It was a bit unseasonably warm, but the skies were blue. She covered about 500 miles on this trip and really enjoyed the peacefulness and time to herself. There are 5 different blog posts for this trip, which can be found here: http://tinyurl.com/j539o63

KELLY Times Kaley’s 14th Birthday Party June 26, 2015 For her 14th birthday, Kaley had just a few of her closest friends over for a slumber party. Now that they are a little older, the girls pretty much took care of themselves. They watched movies, went swimming and slept in late, like teenagers like to do.
In Other News Steve’s younger sister had her first baby in January 2015. As of this newsletter, Ryder is 11 months old. Amy’s sister Crissy is expecting her first baby girl in January 2016! Niece Shelby started her first year of College at Mars Hill University in NC. Niece Meagan graduated college this year and moved to Maine to start her career.
The Kelly’s wish everyone a happy and healthy 2016.
