FUNCTIONAL ADAPTATION All functional spaces are arranged in clusters forming courtyards. Building openings are oriented towards the north-south direction to allow adequate natural light and ventilation. One single access road is proposed for entry and exit from the west side of the complex, which is connected to the city road and two brach road, one towards the north direction and one towards the east. One roundabout is placed in the middle of the site from which there are separate access for the health care unit at the north, entry for rehab reception lobby at the east side, and parking area at the west side. In long term care facility dining, multipurpose hall and the elderly club are located at ground level and also there is an open seating area near the water body at the center of the rehab. Female accommodation is located on the east side while male quarters are placed on the south side and housing for couples is situated on the west side near the entry road. The library and prayer space are on the first floor and the admin block is located on the second floor. In secondary care unit pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy unit, pathology and radiology department and some outpatient service cubicles are on the ground floor while the first floor is occupied with full outpatient service and there are a cafe and doctor lounge on the second floor. There is a three-storied staff quarter block for health workers and duty doctors on the north side of the complex.
