A typical day at MAKE Summer School During the week, the pupils (Apprentices) will aim to complete one project per day and will learn many woodworking and other skills that will provide them with a real sense of achievement and confidence as well as the satisfaction of taking home fun projects made by their own fair hands! 8:30am - Morning Activity care (optional) 10:00am - Project Session 1 11:30am - Break 11:50am - Project Session 2 1:00pm - Lunch 1:45pm - Fun Activity Session 2:45pm - Project Session 3 3:45pm - Tidy up! 4 - 5:30pm - Afternoon Activity care (optional) Pupils should bring a packed lunch. A paid tuck shop will be provided for breaks and lunchtimes.
MAKE Summer School was created by Freddie Main, Head of Design & Technology at Merchiston, Edinburgh. Freddie has over 14 years of experience teaching D&T and brings his expertise and enthusiasm that has seen great success for his pupils in the Young Engineer for Britain competition, the prestigious Arkwright Scholarship Trust and CREST awards along with great academic success.
