COMMITTEE REPORT

Iaqg Certification Oversight Team

The International Certification Oversight Team (COT) had a positive year despite navigating the geopolitical challenges impacting our member companies, suppliers, and those participating in the certification and authentication processes. Despite these obstacles, the team successfully published the 9104-1 in January 2022 and 9101 in November 2022.

Along with the release of these standards came the development of detailed transition maps, the release of Supplemental Rule 004, and the delivery of a comprehensive Frequently-Asked-Questions listing to support transitioning entities. The team also supported the development and finalization of the OCAP Tool (Organization Certification Analysis Process), and the ADC (Audit Day Calculator), which is required as a part of pre-audit planning.

The team moved the 9104-2 standard through the balloting and disposition process and supported finalizing all tasks required of the IAQG for formal recognition by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). Five Resolutions, published in 2022, provided clarification and flexibility to the users of the 9104 series of standards.

Finally, the team supported future auditor training development (AATT Delta, AATT, and OP Assessor Training) with deployment slated for 2023.

Significant progress was made on the OASIS v3 in 2022. From completing numerous rounds of data migration and validation testing to the basic functionality reviews held with key stakeholders, a great deal of effort went into ensuring the delivered product will meet the needs of the IAQG and its customers for many years to come.
