REDUCING WIRING TIME WITH IDEAL CONNECTORS IDEAL Industries’ range of In-Sure push-in wire connectors provide electricians and contractors with a time-saving, modern and safe alternative to traditional screw-down terminal strips. Suitable for a variety of applications, the durable connectors can reduce wiring time by up to 50%, as the simple glide-in wire connection of the In-Sure range makes installation easy. Composed of a clear polycarbonate shell, the user can also visually verify the connection. The range is available in two through to eight-port models and can accept a combination of 0.75 mm² to 2.5 mm² solid, or 1.5 mm² to 2.5 mm² rigid stranded wires. Other features include a check port for continuity testing and a built-in strip length gauge. A unique feature of the two, three, four-port models is their 32 Amp rating. Another 32 Amp connector is the SpliceLine in-line wire connector, which is three times faster to install than traditional crimped butt splices. Electricians are often confronted with an existing wire that has been cut too short by the previous contractor to safely install a socket, light switch or lighting fixture. In these situations, it is often very difficult, if not impossible, to use a crimp tool due to space restrictions. With SpliceLine, however, the short wire is simply pushed into one end of the connector with the extra length of wire being pushed into the other open end. It now takes less than 10 seconds to join two wires together. IDEAL provides several wire connector kits, whether you are just looking for a 32A Connector Installer kit or the Push-In Starter or Premium kit. IDEAL Industries, idealindustriesemea.com
ELITE HEAT OFFERS STUDENTS THAT LITTLE BIT MORE!
HAMILTON LAUNCHES SUPERCHARGED USB-A & USB-C EURO MODULE Hamilton extends its range of combined USB A&C charging products with the launch of a 45W Type-C / 18W Type-A Euro Module – a standard 50 x 50 insert unit, available in black or white with a choice of 14 possible Euro plate designs, in 12 different finishes. This is not a 13A socket outlet, but a combination module designed to deliver much-needed additional power for higher capacity/power-thirsty devices, such as the new iPad/MacBook Pros. When a device is plugged into the Euro Module it negotiates the power output required with the charger. For instance, if the device is plugged into the Type C port it can accept the full 45 watts on offer, or the device will tell the charger it requires less. The intrinsic current/voltage levels adjust to enable optimum charging. The same applies to the 18W Type A port. The USB-C is labelled with PD (Power Delivery) and the USB-A with QC (Quick Charge). Prefect Controls has launched a new range of fluid-filled electric radiators. Elegant design, robust manufacturing and outstanding performance makes them an ideal choice for luxury student accommodation. This modern, silent radiator uses innovative thermofluid technology that gives a quick but gentle warmth and a healthy heat diffusion that doesn’t dry the air. Accessio has been compared with the comfort of a central heating system, maintaining longer-lasting heat even after power to the radiator has been turned off. EnergyLock-Accessio is available in 300W-2000W outputs, but measurements, due to the compact design, are only 575mm tall and 128mm deep, with varying widths of 410mm (300W) to 973mm (2000W). Installation is as easy as securing the simple ‘H’ design mounting bracket to the wall with four screws, lifting the unit onto the supports and locking it securely in place. EnergyLock-Accessio is fully compliant with Lot20 and is ErP regulation ready. The heater provides energy managers access to the unique control features of the Irus central control and Ecostat2 local control systems. Prefect Controls, prefectcontrols.com
