A l’occasion de son 60e anniversaire, l’Atomium célèbre l’Expo 58 – cet événement magique et glamour qui l’a vue naître – au travers de trois expositions regroupées sous le titre de Galaxy 58. Ces expositions prendront place à l’Atomium ainsi qu’au ADAM - Brussels Design Museum [à 150m de l’Atomium] et ouvriront leurs portes le 23 mars 2018 jusqu’à la fin de l’année.

Anlässlich seines 60. Geburtstags feiert das Atomium die Expo 58 – diese magische und glamouröse Veranstaltung wofür das Atomium erschaffen wurde - mit drei Ausstellungen die unter dem Titel Galaxy 58 präsentiert sind. Diese Ausstellungen finden im Atomium und im ADAM - Brussels Design Museum statt [150 m vom Atomium entfernt] und können vom 23. März bis zum 31. Dezember 2018 besichtigt werden.

Par le biais de nombreux documents, vidéos, photographies, objets et costumes pour la plupart inédits : cette extension de l’exposition permanente de l’Atomium s’intéresse plus particulièrement aux gens qui ont fait l’Expo 58 et l’expérience d’alors.
Mit vielen Dokumenten, Videos, Fotografien, Objekte und Kostüme, zum größten Teil unveröffentlicht: Diese Erweiterung der Dauerausstellung im Atomium ist vor allem den Menschen gewidmet, die die Expo 58 damals gemacht und erfahren haben.

GRAPHIC 58 / ADAM - BRUSSELS DESIGN MUSEUM L’univers graphique de l’Expo 58 était très innovant pour son époque. Le Musée revient ici sur ses constituants majeurs, telles ses formes, couleurs et textures, et en quoi celles-ci eurent un effet aussi saisissant en 1958.

Réalisée en collaboration avec le Musée de la Mode et de la Dentelle de Bruxelles, cette exposition illustre comment, à la veille des Swinging Sixties, dans un monde en pleine mutation où se confrontent monde ancien et monde nouveau, les visiteurs endimanchés se sont baladés dans l’Expo 58.
Diese Ausstellung wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Brüsseler Mode- und Spitzenmuseum produziert und zeigt wie elegant die Besucher vor den Swinging Sixties in einer sich rasch verändernden Welt die Expo 58 entdeckt haben..
At the occasion of its 60th birthday, the Atomium will celebrate Expo 58 – this magical and glamorous event for which it was created – with three exhibitions that are grouped under the title Galaxy 58. These exhibitions will take place in the Atomium and in the ADAM - Brussels Design Museum [at 150 m from the Atomium] and will be accessible between March 23rd and December 31st 2018. EN
Ter gelegenheid van de 60ste verjaardag viert het Atomium de Expo 58 – dit magische evenement waarvoor het Atomium gebouwd werd – met drie verschillende tentoonstellingen die onder de titel Galaxy 58 gegroepeerd zijn. Deze tentoonstellingen zullen in het Atomium en in het ADAM - Brussels Design Museum plaatsvinden [op 150 m van het Atomium] en zullen vanaf 23 maart 2018 tot het eind van het jaar toegankelijk zijn.
PEOPLE OF 58 / ATOMIUM PEOPLE OF 5 8 / ATOMIUM Talrijke documenten, video’s, foto’s, voorwerpen en kostuums, waarvan een groot deel nog nooit gepubliceerd werd : deze uitbreiding van de permanente tentoonstelling is meer gewijd aan de mensen die deel uitmaakten van de Expo 58 en de ervaringen van toen.

Het grafische universum van Expo 58 was zeer innovatief voor zijn tijd. Het Museum presenteert de belangrijkste bestanddelen van het grafisme, zoals de vormen, kleuren en texturen, en waarom deze zo’n effect in 1958 hadden.

PODIUM 5 8 / ADAM - BRUSSEL S DESIGN MUSEUM In samenwerking met het Mode en Kant Museum te Brussel, illustreert deze tentoonstelling hoe elegant de bezoekers tijdens Expo 58 rondliepen aan de vooravond van de Swinging Sixties en in een snel veranderde wereld.
Produced in collaboration with the Fashion and Lace Museum in Brussels, this exhibition illustrates how stylish the visitors of Expo 58 were, on the eve of the Swinging Sixties and in a rapidly changing world.
