The Need Help people use waiting time while eating out more productively Better planning of time before eating out
The Idea Motivation – waiting time utilization needs to be streamlined How do people think about waiting times – is it something you cant do anything about or something that can be managed proactively (we are clearly in the latter school of thought!) What do people do while waiting and what are the kind of things one can typically do in 15 minutes provided you know that those things are available?
The Business
Que-no-More is designed to be an add on to Zomato
People will use this app only when they have thought about eating out and searched for restaurants. This is an important, but a dependent need – it is therefore plugging a gap in Zomato’s current offering. Has positive impact on the business model. Existing installed base of 500,000–1,000,000 users. Freemium model more likely to succeed. Quick access to data for predictive algorithm to work. Lower fixed and variable expenses. Reduced marketing expenses. Access to existing storage, reduced rates for additional storage.
The Revenue
Freemium revenue model through both top-down and bottom-up approaches
Two layers of free in Freemium model First 3 months of recommendation free for all users, unlimited – generate database. 2 free recommendations per month, paid or additional usage.
