Each year students on the BA(Hons) Creative Events Management course at AUB are expected to produce a live event as part of their studies. In Level 4, Students work with the themes of Dance, Theatre, Digital Installation Film, Fashion and Visual Arts and produce a creative, public live event. This is the first step on the road to becoming successful creative events managers. RE-WORK’D Saturday 11th March
Rework’d live is an innovative fashion show taking place in The Royal Arcade in Boscombe on the 11th of March from 10am. Please join us on the day for the opportunity to win tickets for Common People in Southampton and other exciting surprises. #Game On is a retro gaming competition between local companies and the community celebrating Bournemouth, the fastest growing digital economy in the UK. Get into the spirit of gaming with large interactive games and small fun fair games! Prizes to be won.

BHQ is excited to present to you our official launch party! We will be hosting our first event, which showcases a student based film celebrating Bournemouth. We are also providing live entertainment, good food and refreshments. What’s not to miss? Entrance is free for all.
Let’s Twist Again Friday 17th March
“Let’s Twist Again” is taking place in Colton Care establishment, The Aldbury Care Home. The Aldbury specialises in looking after residents who are in their later stages of dementia. Our event is a 1950’s Cabaret afternoon, with vintage tea and cakes with appearances from gramophone DJ, Mr. Chairman and pianist and singer, Andrew Cannon.

Let’s Talk Dance Thursday 16th March A powerful short film, showing the issue of sexual assault through a spectacular dance film performance. The film features choreographer and dancer Rasa Vaineikyte in this contemporary piece. Workshop and rehearsals are both featured in a short engaging film.
Hands On Sunday 19th March We are putting on an outdoor nature themed, exhibition and artist led workshop. This sustainable event aims to raise awareness of the ways people take nature for granted. The exhibition will include the work of local artist Denise Poote and collaborations with other students from the Arts University displaying their work in Fine Art and Photography. The event will be held in Fisherman’s Walk where there will be a gala tent, a gazebo and a bandstand. Denise Poote will be running workshops in the tents throughout the day.
