The Power of a Mother / Woman! The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existedbefore. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new. Mothers have an unfair advantage with the Lord. In Luke 7, Jesus observed a huge funeral procession in Nain. The entire town was present. He observed the young men and women weeping. He observed the pastors and apostles weeping. He observed the elders weeping. He observed the fathers weeping. He observed the children weeping. He observed the sadness on people's faces. Nothing seemed to move Him, until HE SAW THE MOTHER. The bible says He had compassion when He saw her and immediately raised her boy from the dead - (Luke 7:12-15). It was the cry of a mother that moved the Heart of God. Still today, Mothers who cry before the Lord for their families, for their marriages, for their homes move the Heart of God. When Mothers stop praying their families (especially their children) perish. Satan gets a foothold and starts to destroy the home, yet when they return to their rightful place as the anchor of the home, demonic strongholds get demolished.

In Psalms 17, 36, 57, 63, and 91 God's role is likening to that of a Mother. As a Mother protects, upholds and defends her children, so does God also protect us under the shadow of His Wings . We find refuge there and can hide there until the danger is over. Because, of this favour over mothers, they are also the most attacked persons in the home. The devil is terrified of Mothers (the powerhouse in the home). Yet the Lord has put inside Mothers grace and resilience to overcome any situation. Today, As the woman of the home, consider yourself blessed. As a mother, consider yourself highly favored and consider yourself dangerous when you pray!

Three Steps To Activating Your ‘Wealth Brain’ These steps have helped many to get to be successful today, and I hope they help you to get on the path of achieving great success! Step One: Set a specific goal for your financial future. Think about what you really want, and try asking yourself the following questions… How much money do I want to have in the bank? What kind of job and salary do I want to have? Am I happy working for others, or do I want to become my OWN boss? What kind of assets do I want to own? What kind of LIFESTYLE do I want to live? Any target you want to achieve is great – the important thing is that it is what YOU want for your future, not what anyone ELSE wants. Don’t worry about HOW you are going to achieve this goal right now (that’s the job of your subconscious!) – simply come up with a target that makes you feel really, really excited. Step Two: Determine your REASONS for setting that target. It’s important to know the reasons WHY you want to be wealthy, because these reasons can determine whether or not you will achieve your goal. Is it because you hate the job you’re in now, or because you’re terrified of the thought of struggling with debt and bills forever? Wanting something out of passion and determination is a million times more powerful than wanting something out of fear, so it’s important that your reasons are positive and motivating. So, what is it about wealth that YOU want? What are the good things that would come from having an abundance of money? What would financial freedom enable you to do? Here are some ideas: To be able to provide a great lifestyle for my family. To be able to travel and go on vacations when I choose. To be able to buy my dream house or dream car To be able to do the kind of work I love, and work the hours I choose. To feel successful, valued and proud of what I have achieved. Give yourself some time to think and then write down 2 - 3 reasons why you want to be wealthy. Step Three: The last step is to align your brain with your target. The clearer and more specific you are about what you want to achieve, the harder your brain is going to work to make it happen. So right now, I want you to try to actually visualize yourself achieving the goals you have set yourself, and picture how you will be FEELING in that moment. For example, Seeing that million-dollar balance when you log in to your online banking. Picturing yourself opening that dream business… Welcoming your friends and family to your beautiful new home (that you own mortgage-free)… Whatever your dream is, the more you practice visualizing in your mind, the more likely it is to become your reality. Your subconscious mind sets out to attract into your life the things you think about MOST. So, make sure that the things you think about are things that you want. Keep going over these three steps, and as these thoughts, images and feelings of wealth are absorbed through repetition by your subconscious, you’ll soon find your life beginning to change in amazing ways you’d never dreamed possible. manifestationmiracle

HOW TO ELECT CAPABLE COUNCILLORS IN THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS
I
n the 2019 local elections, many political parties will be asking you to vote for their candidates in your ward. But how will you know if these candidates are capable of being a good ward councillor? Will they be able to represent the interests of you and your community? You need to have skills and experience in order to be a councillor, because it’s not an easy job. But councillors get well paid, so you need to be sure that the candidate you vote for is capable of doing the job. Here are some ways to help you Elect a good ward councillor. THREE THINGS A WARD COUNCILLOR MUST
KNOW A Ward councillor has to understand three things well in order to be able to represent the interests of you and your community. If they don’t have a good understanding of these three things, they can’t be good councillors, and they will not be able to represent you properly. Unfortunately, even if they have other good qualities, such as honesty and being hard workers and good communicators, they still have to have this essential knowledge: it’s what the job is about. First, the candidate must have a good knowledge of the community – the candidate must understand the
community well and know its main problems. Find out if the candidate knows: The number of women, men and children living in the ward; How many people are employed and unemployed; What the housing needs of the community are; If the elderly and children are looked after and protected ; The state of education and health facilities; The state of sports and recreation facilities; If there is good transport; What development is taking place in the area, and what developments are needed; Are services being properly delivered? If not, how will
they fix the problems? A candidate who doesn’t know these things doesn’t know the community – and can’t represent youand your community properly. Second, the candidate must understand how local governmentworks –the candidate must know how a municipality functions what the responsibilities of a councillor are. Find out if the candidate knows: How Integrated Development Planning (IDP) and Local Economic Development (LED) in your municipality works; The laws governing how municipalities, councillors and
officials work, especially the Municipal Systems Act (which contains the “Code of Conduct for Councillors”), the Municipal Structures Act and the Municipal Finance Management Act; The ways in which the public can participate in municipal affairs and especially in decisions which affect them directly. A candidate who doesn’t know these things doesn’t know how local government works – and can’t represent you and your community properly. Third, the candidate must have a good understanding of how municipal finances work –the municipality uses your money, and your councillor is responsible for ensuring it is properly spent. Find out if the candidate: Understands how the municipal budget works, and how municipal finances are planned and managed. Can they explain these things to you? Can do arithmetic – if the candidate cannot work with numbers they will not be able to understand the budget properly Knows and understands the Municipal Finance Management Act. A candidate who doesn’t know these things doesn’t know how municipal finances work – and can’t represent you and your community properly. You must check if the candidate has this knowledge to do the job. If they don’t have a good knowledge of the community,a clear understanding of how local government works and how its finances are planned and managed, then how can they represent you properly? SKILLS AND QUALITIES A WARD COUNCILLOR MUST HAVE In addition to the essential knowledge, a ward councillor should also have some other important skills and qualities. Good Communication Skills– can the candidate communicate well with the people in your ward? Can they
speak and write well? And, very important, can they really listen to others, understand them and respect their opinions? Conflict Management Skills – can the candidate deal with conflict between different people, and help solve problems through discussion and negotiation? Ethical Leadership Skills –the candidate must be honest and trustworthy, and must promote the interest of the community, not his or her private interests. You must be confident that the candidate will not be bullied by powerful people who want them to support decisions that are not in the best interests of the community or may even be illegal. If they cannot stand up for their community, or against corruption, then they cannot represent you properly. Transparency – can the candidate discuss issues, even difficult problems, openly and publicly instead of trying to hide things away? You don’t want a councillor who does things in secret, behind your back. Accept Criticism – can the candidate accept criticism (especially constructive criticism) and use it to improve their performance? FIND OUT MORE You can find out more about the knowledge and skills a councillor needs in the “Handbook for Municipal Councillors” produced by the South African Local Government Association (SALGA). This will give you a very good idea of what knowledge and skills a good councillor needs. You can find this book, the “Councillor Induction: A Handbook for Municipal Councillors, 2011” on the SALGA www.salga.org.za. SALGA offers the Councillors Development Programme for people who need to learn the knowledge and skills needed to be a good councillor.

Why the fight against this weed could pay off handsomely for an energy-strapped SA
Water hyacinth isn’t just good at being abundant – its foliage also contains a high ratio of carbon to nitrogen. The combination makes it ideal as a renewable gas source via bio digesters like this one. (Yasuyoshi Chiba, AFP) It turns out the floating plant isn’t just good at being abundant — its foliage also contains a high ratio of carbon to nitrogen. It’s a magic combination that has captivated researchers’ imaginations since as early as the 1980s when, across the world, they began to explore its potential as a biofuel. Gilbert Nakweya is fascinated as he writes for Bhekisisa.org Just about 4kg of the dried plant was enough to cater for a large family’s daily energy
needs, early research predicted. In 2014, Nigerian academics announced they got better yields of the gas when the invasive plant was mixed with sanitised chicken manure at a 2014 thermodynamics conference. A few years later, Kenyan scientists confirmed what their Nigerian peers and others had already found: animal dung worked to power charge the process of converting the weed into gas. In India, scientists took this idea and ran with it, mixing

Sign up for our free weekly newsletter or take a second to support great journalism. In 2018, the technology finally came to Dunga in a move that promised to be a two-for-one solution to the dual menaces of the water hyacinth and dependence on firewood. The
community received two donated biogas digesters — machines that would transform a mix of water hyacinth and cow dung into biogas for cooking, as well as material for other household tasks such as incubating chicks and purifying water. The “digesters” work a bit like a stomach. Food goes in one end — think of it as a mouth — and over the next 20 to 30 days, it ferments and breaks down, giving off gas that comes out the other end. Currently, there are about 50 of these biogas digesters slated for Kenya. In Dunga, some are connected to multiple family stoves so that altogether they produce enough gas to serve about 60% of the village’s population.
The project will test whether biogas can provide an effective alternative to firewood and charcoal in rural Kenyan communities. For more on this story, find it on our Facebook page.
