Hello, and welcome to your Summer 2023 edition of ParkLife, your periodic update for everything happening at St Ives Bay Beach Resort!
We have had a great season so far, welcoming many more families to Ownership and receiving some great feedback from our Owners and Holidaymaker guests alike. Thank You to all of you that complete our Ownership Surveys and provide us such valuable feedback so that we can continue to do the good stuff well and identify any areas that we need to improve upon.
One of our new offerings this season is our in-house ShowCast performance team to complement the host of live Entertainment acts that visit us from around the UK - this dedicated and talented team produce unique shows and will be performing them weekly through the summer in the Dynamite Club, bringing the West End to the South West! There are 5 shows to see and feedback on these shows has been brilliant so don't miss out! How many will you get to?
As many of you will know, Chris joined us as your dedicated point of contact at the start of the year as your Owner's Experience Manager and has been a great support in resolving many of the odd jobs or loose ends so that you can enjoy your Holiday Home hassle-free. Chris can be contacted on his business phone during his days of work (Saturday-Wednesday) on 07496 201934 or chris chicken@awayresorts co uk for anything needing attention, but of course I and all of the rest of the team on site here are dedicated to supporting you with your Ownership.
We wanted to give you a heads up that we're making a change regarding our newsletters. Instead of sending them out quarterly, we'll be staying connected through Third Place Social. This way, we can keep you in the loop more efficiently and frequently, ensuring you always have the latest and greatest information. We're excited about this update and can't wait to connect with you on a more regular basis!

Steve Benton New starters
Maintenance
Steve joined the team in March, having previously worked on holiday parks with the Maintenance and Accommodation teams. Steve will be carrying out any maintenance works your holiday home may need. If you need any work carrying out, please let Chris Chicken know and he will arrange for Steve to attend. Steve likes to follow motorsport, in particular Formula One. He is also an avid Coventry City fan.
Phil Hunter
Grounds, Siting & Touring Manager
Phil joined us in June bringing with him over 30 years' experience in grounds, siting holiday homes and touring on holiday parks, including working on dunes systems like ours. In his spare time Phil likes gardening, bee keeping and holidaying in his motor home.

We are delighted to announce that Elliot has recently received a promotion within Away Resorts and he is now General Manager at Newperran. Although we are sad to lose him, we know he will do an amazing job and we wish him good luck in his new role.

Join us for a celebration of all things colour! Your favourite music throughout the day and colourful experiences, culminating in the big colour throw, what a treat
Dance your way through the enormous colour explosion as we paint the sky a beautiful rainbow!
Live Entertainment!
We have 5 live performance shows a week in the Dynamite Club this summer, will you get to all of them? There’s:
- "Cinderella", a classic summer Pantomime for all the family. Oh No it isn't... Oh Yes it is!...
- "You got to Show me 90's", a fabulously nostalgic 90's show
- "Electric Dreams", a classic 80's show
- "Shake, Rattle & Rock", an awesome Rock & Roll performance
- "Klubland", a family friendly clubland rave experience.

Our most recent event proved to be our best one yet, who knew that gin was so popular! It was great to see all of you meeting other owners and beginning new friendships as the year continues, we look forward to seeing them grow as we welcome more of you to the events.

Annual Gas Test
Every 12 months your holiday home requires a gas test, as you approach this mark our team will call you to arrange for this to take place.

Four-legged Friends
As you will know, we are a dog-friendly resort, and want you to be able to enjoy your time with your four-legged friends!
We do have lots of guests on site through the summer, so please ensure that if you do have a pup, then you follow the Doggy Do's & Don'ts...
- Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times around the park and are not permitted access into the Dynamite Club.
- Dogs must not be left unaccompanied, including in Holiday Homes - this can be particularly dangerous for dogs.
- Over the summer months there are also council restrictions on the beach over the hottest hours of the day, so dogs are not permitted on the beach over the summer from 10am-6pm.
Did you know…
St Ives Bay Park lies right in the heart of the second-largest sand dune ecosystem in Cornwall? It's designation as a Site of Special Scientific Interest means it's like a nature-equivalent of a cathedral, castle or stately home!
Most of Cornwall is acidic granite - the opposite of this calcareous sand - so the dunes support hundreds of plants and insects not found elsewhere. In fact, 25% of all Cornwall's species occur in St Ives Bay - on less than 1% of Cornwall's land area! This makes it probably the richest nature-site in Cornwall.

You can get involved in walks, practical work or even art sessions, but we can all help to protect this precious area by not leaving litter, picking up dog waste, not lighting barbecues and keeping dogs on leads between March and July when birds are nesting.
