Valley Center Museum Reopens After a one-year shut-down, the Valley Center History Museum is poised to welcome back visitors starting June 18. A temporary opening plan shows the museum fully open to the public on Wednesdays and Fridays from 12noon to 4pm. Additional days will be added incrementally. A policy of free parking and free admission to all will remain in place. In preparation for the reopening, the museum building has been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized, and hand sanitizers will be available. Greetings guests will be the museum's famous 8-foot tall California Grizzly Bear wearing a huge mask, a reminder that face coverings, at this writing, are still required. There are two free public parking structures next to the Oceanside Transit Center at Seagaze Drive and North Cleveland Street, and at City Hall at Ditmar Street and Civic Center Drive. Please note: There is no overnight parking available at any Downtown parking structure. Current San Diego health guidelines will be followed at the Sunset Market.
