The place where the tradition meets modernity!
Abeno/ Tennoji area Tennoji and Abeno district is a mesmerising mixture of old and new traditional shops stand along with newest shopping centers. You can feel a tingle of excitement while looking at the many shop signs hanging everywhere. Especially "kushikatsu" -fried vegetables, meat or fish - is the most famous speciality of the district. Locals come here to enjoy "kushikatsu." From the street we could see the famous Tsuenkaku tower, which is the symbol of the district. You can get to the top of the tower, however it's very popular so I recommend a visit on weekdays or in the early morning.
This building, "Abeno Harukas", is due So many dishes to choose from! There to open in March, 2014 and it's the seem to be a lot of foreign guests, so the highest building in Japan. There is also menu was also available in English. a viewing platform at the height of 300 meters.

Game+Lunch at Sushi train
You must try it when you come to Japan! Japanese popular new wave culture "Kaiten-sushi" (sushi train) & arcade center. Especially Japanese Drum "Taiko no Tatsujin" game is now a popular game among Japanese. We enjoyed ourselves to the max. While at the Kaiten-sushi restaurant we were amazed by the variety of the dishes. We have never seen so many types of sushi back in our country. It's good to have so many choices! Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious. You should try them at least once during your stay in Japan!

Is it real or fake? Cake made of wax and resin
Japanese unique experience
Decorating Food samples In Japan, every restaurant has a display of samples representing the dishes they serve. They look so real, how can they not be? How are they made? Today, we decided to solve this mystery. For that we participated in food sample workshops. With the help of nice staff, we made our own cake and parfait. We were surprised to hear that the fruit and cream are made from resin, vinyl and wax. Wow, who would have thought? Did we do well?
Uppper photo : After designing the fruit One last step - putting on the varnish composition, I tried to put the cream on ...and it's done! Finally, it looks like a the top. I wonder how it went. real thing! Lower photo : They look like rice or spaghetti but in fact, these are iPhone cases! Think of how your friends would be surprised if you got one!
Mission accomplished! With us, many Japanese visitors came to take part in the workshops. Especially kids were excited to make their own samples. I would love to take my family there next time!
You never taste it in outside of Osaka
Dotonbori - The City That Never Sleeps
Tasting Takoyaki + Chanko nabe
In the afternoon went to take a stroll around Dotonbori. It is always so lively here. There are a lot of stands selling Osaka's speciality - takoyaki. You can't miss the opportunity to try them! Today, we would like to recommend "chanko nabe" Originally, "chanko nabe" was a dish served only to sumo wrestlers, but today we can get a taste of genuine "chanko nabe" in some restaurants. This time we ordered a sea-food "chanko nabe" and we were amazed by the variety of ingredients, one of which were these huge crabs! It was so delicious, we ate to our hearts content! It was worth coming here!
Kuidaore Taro - very famous character in Dotonbori. He is a symbol of Dotonbori and he has been loved by all locals since 1950.
Takoyaki - local speciality of Osaka. They are really hot, so be careful not to get burned.
After boiling, the crabs turned all red! So tasty! The staff helped us to prepare "chanko nabe". It was nice of them to give us tips on how to eat it.
Feel the night breeze from the height of 173 meters
Great dating spot for couples
Umeda Floating garden Our last destination for today was the Floating Garden on top of the Umeda Sky Building, north of the Umeda station. This is a famous dating spot for couples. Maybe because the night scenery viewed from 173 meters height is so romantic! Inside, there is a cafe and sofas, so you can enjoy your time, looking at the beautiful night landscape. Winter wind was really cold at this height, but we forgot all about it, mesmerised by the amazing view unfolding before us.
This is the Umeda Sky Building. We will get up there! Ah, the excitement!
Today, we ate a lot of delicious things and we saw many interesting places. But there's still so much to see! Osaka seems like a neverending adventure! We had a great time today!
The floor on the top is shining, just like the stars.
We are back at the Umeda Station! It was a long but fun day. Time to say good bye!
