Architects also are becoming bolder, daringly challenge the norm by continuously creating structures that not only showcase the perfect combination of functionality and design, but also leave

a footprint in our architectural history. Industrial buildings, once typically vast and lifeless, are now works of art. Case in point is the making of 12 Waves Logistics Centre by Kun Lim Architect. The 12 Waves Logistics Centre is the cornerstone of the 72-acre One Auto Hub development, an international industrial centre revolving around the automotive industry and a commercial development by PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd at Batu Kawan, Penang. At 650,000 sq ft, the 12 Waves is the largest warehouse in Malaysia and deemed the next-generation logistics hub that offer full spectrum, integrated supply chain industrial solutions while fostering the development of a new commercial, educational, residential and civic district. It integrates industry with a wide range of hospitable amenities, imparting human scale into a normally mundane industrial environment. The masterplan for the 12 Waves Logistics Centre comprises office space,
