A bundle of talent

by Sara Al Oqayfi

I used to spend a lot of time scrolling through Pinterest a few years ago, and since I genuinely love crafting, I had always been amazed by how crocheters could transform a piece of yarn into unique wearable creations then one day I thought, "I CAN DO THAT, CAN'T I,".? A new interest suddenly blossomed when I made the decision to start the journey and practice with the cheapest materials I could find. I recalled how thrilled I was with my first creation, a scarf, but today I consider it to be a complete disaster with too many mistakes I made a tote bag, many bandanas, and other items as a beginner by following YouTube's instructions. I soon learned the basics of most of the stitches, moved up to the intermediate level, and am now attempting to become a professional

The only challenge I ran into on my journey was with the cost and availability of the supplies. There isn't a yarn shop in my city, and the only one that sells yarn costs an arm and leg! Therefore, every time I needed to work on a project, I had to get the supplies online, which is much more affordable but also presents another issue with the price of the delivery; usually , I only needed a few things but I had to pay for the shipping each time. In the near future, I want to start a small business, but first I need to practice more and gain greater self-assurance.

I learned a great deal from crocheting It boosts my self-esteem by being productive. Additionally, I become addicted to this sense of accomplishment, which always drive me to start (and complete) more projects in order to maintain the positive mood Moreover, it develops patience while also enhancing my sense of self-worth and social inclusion.
