SEASON’S 19 MUSIC THE
“
I’m always thrilled to conduct the beautiful Ballet West production of Swan Lake! Tchaikovsky’s hauntingly beautiful score, the mesmerizing story line, and the exquisite choreography ignited my passion for ballet many years ago. — Tara Simoncic Music Director/Principal Conductor
Not only is Jewels a breathtaking choreographic achievement, its music ranges from the sublime ineffability of Fauré’s incidental music, to Tchaikovsky’s lyrical and unorthodox Third Symphony, and the redblooded vigor of Stravinsky’s Capriccio for Piano and Orchestra. I love conducting these works and look forward to this very musically satisfying season. — Jared Oaks Associate Music Director/ Conductor ballet west orchestra | photo by beau pearson
