ANNUAL REPORT 2015/16

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY The Annual Report is an important part of Council’s ongoing reporting to its Community. The Report is in line with the third year of Banyule’s City Plan 2015-2016 (Council Plan).

The Annual Report 2015/2016 was submitted to the Minister by Friday 30 September 2016 as required by Section 133 of the Local Government Act 1989 (the Act) In accordance with Section 134 of the Act, Council is required to consider the Annual Report 2015/16 at a meeting of the Council.

The Annual Report contains: • • •

A Report of Council’s Operations; Audited Performance Statement of Council for the financial year ended 30 June 2016; Audited Financial Statements of Council for the financial year ended 30 June 2016.

The Annual Report 2015/16 has been available for public inspection for the required 14 day period via Council’s Service Centres, website and local libraries.

Resolution (SC2016/3) Election Caretaker Period Statement “The report and recommendation do not fall within the definition of a major policy decision (Section 93(A) of the Local Government Act 1989 or a “Significant Decision” within the meaning of the Banyule Election Period Policy.”

That Council: 1.

Receives and notes the Annual Report 2015/16 incorporating the Report of Operations, Performance Statement and Financial Statements.

Make available the Annual Report on Council’s website and at Council’s three Service Centres (Ivanhoe, Greensborough and Rosanna) and local libraries.
