Harriet Tubman was born as a slave in 1820 or 1821.

Harriet and her family lived in Maryland.

In 1849 Harriet Tubman ran away from the Brodas plantation.

Slave hunters looked for harriet.

Harriet walked in the water so the slave hunters and dogs could not follow her tracks.

She had disguises so people would not recognize her.

Harriet Tubman made it to Pennsylvania and she was free. Harriet came back from the north to save her family.

Then she saved other people also. She saved over three hundred people from escape from slavery.

harriet tubman led the people to the under ground railroad so they wouldn't be slaves anymore. they used the under ground railroad so the hunters couldn't find them. some stops on the under ground railroad had a quilt as a sign.

harriet was Free! there was no more slavery. harreit was a spy and a nurse during the civil war.

Harriet Tubman received many honors during her life including a medal from Queen victoria.

She died in 1913.

2. she was a nurse and a spy and a cook during civil war.

3. she was very brave because she could of died because there was a $40,000 reward for the person who found her!
