Best Known for MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. IS BEST KNOWN FOR THE "I HAVE A DREAM" SPEECH THAT TOLD EVERYONE THAT DIFFERENT RIGHTS FOR BLACK PEOPLE WAS NOT RIGHT!
BIRTH: 1/15/1929 BORN IN AtLANTA, GEORGIa
Told he could not play because of his skin color
PUT IN JAIL FOR
house bombed
DEATH: 4/4/1968 MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE
march on washington DC
MLK had to be RESIlient. at the PARK WHEN MARTIN WAS LITTLE HIS FRIEND'S DAD SAID THEY COULD NOT PLAY TOGETHER BECAUSE HE HAD A DARKER SKIN COLOR THAN HIS FRIEND. this was a MISTAKE. when maRTIN WAS LITTlE HE lived IN ATLANTA, GEORGIA WITH ONE OLDER SISTER AND ONE LITTLE BROTHER. WHEN MARTIN WAS LITTLE, PEOPLE WERE SEPARATED BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOR. THAT'S CALLED
SEGREGATION. BLACK PEOPLE COULDN'T GO TO THE SAME SCHOOLS, USE THE SAME WATER FOUNTAINS, OR BATHROOMS! THEY ALSO COULDN'T LIVE TOGETHER.
LEARNED FROM E H T A H T K N I THI . WEREN'T FAIR S W A L T A H T THIS CE IS WHY N E I R E P X E S I TH I THINK THAT GHTING HE STARTED FI S. FOR FAIR LAW
IN 1955 MARTIN SUFFERED A HARDSHIP WHEN SOMEONE THREW A BOMB IN HIS HOUSE WHEN HE WAS IN A MEETING! LUCKiLY NO ONE WAS HURT.
I THINK THAT MUST BE SCARY! SOMEONE COULD HAVE GOtTEN HURT!
MARTIN DIED BECAUSE HE TRIED TO HELP SOME GARBaGE PEOPLE ON STRIKE. ON HIS SECOND DAY IN MEMPHIS HE DIED. BEFORE HE DIED, THOUGH, HE PERSUADED MANY PEOPLE THAT SEGREGATION WAS VERY BAD. A FEW YEARS LATER SEGREGATION STOPPED WHEN a law was passed.
MARTIN COMMUNICATED BY ORGANIZING A GIGANTIC SPEECH AND MARCH. martin took risk when he made that gigantic speech because someone could have shot him ware he stood! that could have been his biggest and last speech and march! HIS MESSAGE WAS THAT IT WASN'T FAIR OTHER PEOPLE GOT BETTER SERVICE BECAUSE OF THEIR SKIN COLOR. THE SPEECH WAS AT THE LINCOLN MEMORIAL STEPS 1963.
VE TO BE A H D L U O YOU W RONT OF I THINK F N I K A E AVE TO SP STAND UP R B Y L L A E R PLE AND O E P E S O T FAIR. O N E ALL TH R A T THA TO LAWS
That could have been his biggest and last speech and march!
MARTIN SHOWED PERSEVERANCE BECAUSE EVeRY TIME HE MADE A SPEECH AND MARCH. WHITE PEOPLE ARRESTED HIM SOME PEOPLE EVEN THREaTENeD TO KILL HIM IF HE KEPT PROTESTING BUT THAT DID NOT SLOW HIM DOWN ONE BIT. BUT MARTIN NEVER STOPPED FIGHTING FOR FAIR LAWS.
IF SOMEONE THreW A BOMB IN MY HOUSE I WOULD GIVE UP! BUT NOT MARTIN. HE JUST KEPT GOING. I WOULD TAKE THE RISK OFF.
Because of martin luther king jr., blacks and whites have the same rights. without martin, I might have to go to a different school and it would be harder to find a school.
I think it would be really hard to get into a college that is very good and some people might not even get into college. Martin makes it look like it's easy. But it was not. At all!
