introduction famous quotation: "Find

the good. It's all around you. Find it, showcase it and you'll start believing in it."

he was Best known for his world records in running and for getting four gold medals at the olympic games in berlin, germany.

3 key qualities: bravery strong mind hardworking

What I find interesting is that he went against the germans and hitler. He ran so fast that he was called a "floating wonder."

I CHOSE THIS PERSON BECAUSE he has the same name as me.

Jesse had a hard life. when he was a kid he got sick a lot. his family was poor and lived in alabama. I think that he was often sad because he was sick and had little food.

jesse got insulted by whites all the time. I think that blacks are equal to whites.

jesse worked to help his poor family. he swept floors, shined shoes, watered plants, and delivered groceries. I think that families should help each other and that's what jesse did. He worked to help his family. That's nice.

i read that for the olympics, jesse had to walk in a stadium filled with a lot of people before his race. hitler didn't want to see him, or see him win. I think that jesse was brave because he had to walk in front of hitler and he was furious that he won for the united states.

jesse got up an hour early for practice before high school because he had to work after school when the team practiced. i think that jesse had to go through lots of training. he was from a poor family and he got a scholarship to ohio state university. i think that he wanted that scholarship and he needed it badly. just because he came from a poor family doesn't mean that he can't get a good school scholarship.

in the olympics, jesse had to run in front of a person who hated him and he lost his running shoes before the race. he got new ones that hurt him, but he still ran and won. I think that he had to have a lot of guts to run against hitler and the germans. his shoes had to have hurt him badly.

jesse ran a lot of races before the olympics. he ran 79 races in high school. He won 75 of them. in his senior year, he set a world record in the 220-yard dash. i think that you would have to train so much to run that many races. I think it's pretty amazing that he set a world record when he was a senior in high school.

jesse inspired me, and other people, by showing the world that he could make a difference. he went to a country whose leader disliked him because he didn't like jews or people of color. But jesse, went, raced, and won.

My Change maker is connected to martin luther king jr. jesse admired him. I'm Similar to my change maker because we both have the same name, we both like to run, and we both have written books.

I'm A change maker when I feed the homeless on christmas at glide.
