introduction famous quotation:

I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear.

Rosa PArks is best known for standing up for herself on a bus.

3 Key qualities: 1. Rosa Parks didn't care what people said about black people. 2. Rosa was strong and she stood up for herself and others. 3. Rosa was brave.

What I find interesting is that Rosa parks knew that she could be killed or hurt, but that did not stop her.

I CHOSE THIS PERSON BECAUSE she is important in my life. if she had not changed the rules about the way black people were treated than people with dark skin wouldn't be able to be with white people, and i would not have the friends i have right now.

rosa parks had to fight for her rights of being treated the same as white people. she stood up for her self because she was tired of getting pushed around. I think rosa parks was brave because even though she knew she could get hurt or killed, she still stood up for her rights.

rosa parks showed compassion and empathy by trying to find a way for black people to be treated the same way as white people. i read that she wrote down the stories of black people when they were hurt by white people, and she asked young black people to try to use the white library. i think that some kids were brave to try to use the white library even though they could get hurt. i think that she's making other people brave. also, instead of just sitting there and doing nothing about it, she did something.

i read that rosa parks refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white person. it was brave because she could go to jail for doing that. i think that she stood up for people by standing up for herself.

i read that rosa parks was part of a boycott. during the boycott, black people would not ride the buses. i think that the people with white skin on the bus would be happy that there weren't black people on the bus.

I read that rosa Parks did not give up her seat on a public bus. She went to jail and appeared before a judge. Eventually they changed the law so blacks could sit where they wanted. I think that she was brave to not give up her seat.

today, things are different because white people and black people can sit on the same side of the bus, and they can talk to each other. i think that it's a good thing that rosa was alive because she changed how people were treated...people with different color skin can be friends.

I'm A change maker when I pick up trash because garbage can hurt the environment. I'm Similar to my change maker because I have dark skin and she does too.

My Change maker is connected to harriet tubman because she was helping people escape slavery and she also stood up for how black people were treated.

A changemaker is a person who changes how people are treated. Rosa Parks changed how black people were treated by white people.

Black people refused to ride the buses because they were tired of giving up their seats to white people.

Rights are something legal. rights are something that everyone has that are repsected by people and protected by the government. Rosa wanted the legal right to keep her seat on the bus

Rosa Parks was arrested by a police offer when she refused to give up her seat on the bus. Arrested means being taken into police custody. After she was arrested, the police took her fingerprints.
