2º South American - Asuncion Yacht y Golf Club Paraguayo 1 to april 4 2014 Organized by D 4845 Gov. Ann Marina Petrovic Neumann Tournament Director Marta E M Fernandez The four days of the tournament was marked by a lot of companionship, facilitated by pleasant place: a fine hotel combined with excellent 14 clay tennis courts, golf course, swimming pools, all bordering the Paraguay River.

The opening was attended by the Governor of District 4845 Ann Marina Neumann, The President of Paraguayan Tennis Association Camilo Moreira, the Consul of Chile, District Secretary Luis Boettner, the District Treasurer Salvador Maldonado and by 24 players, who after the execution of the nationals hymns from 5 different countries, by the request of the Director ITFR to South America Marcos Franco, all made the characteristic signal CLOSE ONLY THIS, concern END POLIO NOW campaign. Once again, a part of the financial revenues achieved has been destined to eradication of Polio:U$ 2,000 Total Polio+Projects = U$303 in 10 years.

The Show After the awards and the tasty dinner served, Horacio Purriños offered us beautiful Argentine music and an excellent interpretation. Invited everyone to go to the 3rd South American that will be in Buenos Aires, MAI 2015.

Daniela Macias Resident in Quitilipi, Chaco, Argentina, Rotarian, Professor of tennis and coordinates the project DAM of tennis for especial children. Touched everyone with an story of overcomes and love of neighbor. Joined Rotary in December 2013, where hers grandfather was the founder, when went to request the replacement of a Argentina´s flag, stolen with other works materials, rackets used on the two tennis court where she teaches special children. Had a dream of being a professional tennis player, but a serious injury prevented her. Along with her son Mariano and with financial support from her family and friends, could participate to the tournament and snatched all the trophies he played. At the suggestion of Felipe Cabrera, the group contributed with $700 for her project, besides rackets and balls of the tournament.
