E-Club 9920 Francophone, Pacific Commitment to Global Projects
The Rotary E-Club D9920 Francophone (in the Pacific), founded in 2011, is specialized in helping the community and people in need around the world through international projects as it is the "territory" of the whole world as a 100% E-Club. Between 2011 and July 2013, the club participated in 04 Global Grants, all very successful. Since July 2013, the EClub Francophone has been participating annually in 04 to 05 Global Grants, either as a Principal Partner or as a Secondary Partner, always trying to help raising funds from participating in the project and almost always as the initiator of the project. The EClub 9920 Francophone has created a "Circle of 46 Official Twin Clubs" around the world to enhance the Fellowship and thus work hand in hand with its twin clubs and other RCs and districts around the world to get aid to communities, and therefore be more efficient. Seriousness, friendship, efficiency and helping people in need are part of the E-Club 9920's objectives and, of course, "connecting Rotarians from around the world" as our motto. Restorative Justice is a way of addressing conflict and crime thatenables the person who caused the harm, people who were affected bythe harm, and the community to create a meaningful solution. Instead of a specific model, it is a set ofprinciples that can be flexibly appliedto a variety of situations of conflict, crime, abuse, etc. Restorative Justice seeks to build and sustain thriving communities, encourage personal responsibility and improve public safety. Restorative Justice has great potential to improve the way people of all ages connect and communicate. Community building circles help students connect and communicate with each other. By regularly “circlingup,” they improve social-emotional capacities and develop a stronger sense of togetherness that supports a positive school climate. Responsive circles can inclusively address discipline issues and can be used as part of a re-entry process for students who have been in detention or suspended from school. It also includes youth development programs that promote specific positive social skills and conflict management. These programs are developed and delivered to encourage youth to explore the dynamics of relationships and discuss personal implications. They can be offered as supplemental afterschool programs. Bullying Prevention programs, also provided by trained RJ staff, are another example of community building efforts for improving school relations and communication among all students.
