Chair DRFC Editorial The Project “Dreaming About the Waves”, adapted by RC Santos Praia was launched in 2007. It receives annual support from The Rotary Foundation through district grants and was awarded in the first edition of the ROTARY EXCELLENCE AWARD. He had as a mentor Prof. Francisco Araña, from the Extreme Surf School of Santos, with the aim of seeking for incentive of people and entities from different parts of the world to apply surfing as a form of alternative treatment for the physically and visually impaired, or better promotes Social inclusion, improvement of the quality of life, motor, mental and spiritual development. "Dreaming About the Waves - International" was elevated to the category of "World Surf Cities" Nowadays, there are cities in Spain, Portugal, Rio Grande do Sul, South Africa, Montevideo, among others.
An innovative experience concerning to water resources Our district and another four districts of the State of São Paulo (4510,4590,4600 and 4610), with a group composed of professionals from the area of water resources are organizing meetings with university professors from the public and private sector aiming to contribute to the development of public policies and practices of services. All this is being done with the support of The Rotary Foundation. By the end of May, this group will have published suggestions that will contribute to the development of the State of São Paulo.
CADRE do D4420 is highlighted in “Rotary Leader” issue of MARCH

Rotary Leader is an official IR online publication. In the March issue (Portuguese), there is an article about CADRE D-4420 as a recognition and dissemination of our experience in the world of Rotary. I would like to share this moment with every colleague, and especially with the last three Governor who have always supported our efforts. And to all involved in particular the companion Adriano and all the team of CADRE and Chair Mario Cesar, who worked hard for the national seminar of 12/3/16. This legacy is a permanent challenge for teammate Marcos Franco and his team and future leaders. Congratulations to the D 4420! Marcelo D. Haick
